I think this will be the first Gold bull market that breaks the trend of past Gold bull markets and out performs silver, think this leads to a gold standard in some way shape or form, and now that Gold is capable of being digitalized, less reason for silver use, when easy to transact with Gold.

It does have at least some history of a lot of maniacal upside, though.

If it breaks deep into the 40s, bar the door. That's when it gets reports on the nightly news and the "Silver's going to $400" types start to get airtime.

On a more serious note if you are new to BFI you should read this thread in its entirety. A real life bubble forming and eventually bursting in real time. Of course it isn't real time anymore. But the historical psychology of what happens when a real bubble happens. Because this was in fact a real "bubble" and ever since the word "bubble" gets misused a lot for anything people think is going the way they don't want tit to.

But this is a hall of fame thread which should be taught in business schools. Read it and you may learn something.
