Correct. And those who aren't long non-productive rocks are the ones who can actually afford bullets.

Because in a SHTF scenario the first rule of prepping is to go get your stash of gold, immediately drive to a hotspot area of civil unrest and hold it up in the air and announce to everyone you have gold.

Also, you would actually be surprised that many "prepper" constitutionalist types are just as anti-gold as you are.

They don't understand gold like you guys don't understand gold, but it is much worse coming from them than it is coming from you guys. They actually understand the entire point of America unlike you tax loving commies. But these back country real Americans...half of them don't even understand that the entire reason socialism has a vice grip in America is because we don't have sound money.

They say stupid **** like lead and brass will be more valuable than gold and silver. Or LOLammuniton will be the currency in SHTF. I would say almost as many conservatives as liberals say the typical cliche braindead line of...."Ya can't eat gold." When half these so called constitutionalists don't understand gold is money. You know the country is ****ed.

True, but a heavy enough bag of them is a pretty good workout if you move them around the house or periodically bury them in your back yard. I'd like to see you get fit off your stock shares!

I think this will be the first Gold bull market that breaks the trend of past Gold bull markets and out performs silver, think this leads to a gold standard in some way shape or form, and now that Gold is capable of being digitalized, less reason for silver use, when easy to transact with Gold.

It does have at least some history of a lot of maniacal upside, though.

If it breaks deep into the 40s, bar the door. That's when it gets reports on the nightly news and the "Silver's going to $400" types start to get airtime.

On a more serious note if you are new to BFI you should read this thread in its entirety. A real life bubble forming and eventually bursting in real time. Of course it isn't real time anymore. But the historical psychology of what happens when a real bubble happens. Because this was in fact a real "bubble" and ever since the word "bubble" gets misused a lot for anything people think is going the way they don't want tit to.

But this is a hall of fame thread which should be taught in business schools. Read it and you may learn something.

I've gotten in on the party and am pretty heavy GLD and SLV now, agree with Shuffle the upside for SLV seems potentially massive if robinhooders catch the scent. Vamos GLD + SLV.
