really weak episode by both entrepreneurs and investors. i watched an episode of dragon's den for the first time and it was really refreshing to see investors who seem way more genuinely interested and "real" especially in the negotiations.

Beep was entertaining, but it would be a nightmare trying to run a business with a culture nazi hipster. No festivals.

That's why Cuban was out.

I thought Barbara's ideas for the food truck were positive but she was too harsh on the truck. I like the design but she'd probably want something more colorful/light.

Overall weak episode. The highlight being the girl at the end asking if Robert is gonna work 16hrs/day on their business. She could have saved her partners market share gaffe by saying, "I think he mixed it up, he meant to say we have 10% of the market and there's 90% to go after."

Best pitch of all time

edit - if you google image "Mona Weiss", she has a couple of model/sexy pictures. She's the econut lady with the dummy boyfriend who said 90% of the market.

I might have to start skipping the show. I'm becoming depressed that I am unable to come up with a single idea and yet every week, there are plenty (not all good though)

I am going to blame my public school education.

ive come up with at least 5 products in my life that would be shark tank worthy, but... my crippling apathy and lack of drive and motivation will forever hold me back.

My marketing teacher (who is hot btw) works for a company that is trying to get on shark tank.

They make green exercise machines. You work out on them and they generate power. They try to tie it in with social media. I think it posts on facebook how many watts you have generated, and they have a scoreboard so you can see where you rank among others. And you can make groups so you can compete with your friend or motivate each other to keep up.

They got them in UCI (university of irvine), maybe a couple machines at a gym and they do competitions like the group or student who works on the most wins an Ipad. They did get some local news coverage.

Now the main problems with them are

1. Machines are expensive
2. Generates very little power

LOL @ this idea, but there are enough idiots that it might work.

Years ago I saw a story on TV where a guy rigged his treadmill and stationary bike to generators/upconverters and his kids had to exersize to watch tv.

That guy was a total nut.

I'm a bit confused by how unprepared people are from the valuation and negotiations side of things. Seems like a 2 hour crash course, and watching all the old episodes would give you a tremendous advantage when it comes time to getting your deal done.

Step 1: don't offend a shark, unless two of them are fighting and you're trying to win one over.

Wow, that's a bad idea. Next she's going to want to attach a calculator to the lid of a laptop.

You should offer to buy a couple points before he gets on the show. Can't lose. I wish them good luck!

I find it more fun to see someone score, than get drummed out.

Did some youtubing and googling. Seems very cool but I cringed a little when I saw the price. $1800.

I'm sure there's a market for it. Just not me.

Seems like a cool invention and hope they make lots of money, but yea I don't see this being a huge success.

I predict:

Robert thinks "its cool" and his kids will think "its cool" and he might even toy with investing just to "be cool" but he'll throw out a real nit offer, and pout when they don't snap accept, and then he'll recant his offer when they entertain other investors.

Kevin will try to steal the company, and ask them "whats proprietary" about it and why cant he just go to China and make them for 50% less and squash them like a bug.

Damon will be out either really quick, or not say anything at all and be out last, again, without saying anything at all.

Mark will say something kind of savvy and offer a quick pro business tip about why he is not interested although he likes the invention and be out.

Barbara/Lori will buy it.
