I got in a bit late but still doubled up after recent run so thanks for the recommendation.
Any views about further value here?

They did mention they got a boost from a bunch of orders on their new driver upfront, but that still is probably less than 10-15% of the revenue and it will have revenue for a while in the future even if they don't get much in the next quarter or two. They also want to sell their products internationally, no idea when that might happen, but they've been hinting that they have been seeking it for a year + now if I recall correctly. They do have a few other products in the pipeline over the next year so the income from that will more than offset the drop from their big product in the coming quarters. Unsure of what other products they have up their sleeve or are in development, but they're expanding their contract revenue with their main customer and I think that contract might be up in the next year or two. They do have a good relationship with them so I think they will get another contract with them, unsure of how that contract will work. They have shown the ability to grow their contract revenue and replace lost customers in the past very quickly without dropping revenue.

i will know a lot more when the 10k comes out mostly likely on the 10th, but it's possible it comes out on the 3rd. I don't think their quarter over quarter revenue (Q42021 vs Q42020) will jump another 50% in the upcoming year or even 30%, but I can definitely see margins improving somewhat, they're still spending a lot on R&D so new products may be developed. I can definitely see EPS growing over the most recent results, although it may decline in the short term slightly. I want to see the backlog because for some reason the price has completely ignored their backlog numbers. This quarter was highly predictable, and I think they deserve a much higher multiple than they have been getting since it's a company with near 0 beta that has constantly been getting priced as if their most recent earnings will be their peak and will stay flat or decline slightly the whole time their revenue and earnings have been growing like crazy while they have been signalling that it will grow a lot by giving backlog revenue estimates as well as new product revenue estimates in each 10Q/10K.

My investing app told me earnings for this was on Sep 17, which is good cause this stock was also my largest holding and I was planning on playing it a bit safer before earnings came out. I just got in a couple months ago looking for stocks with PE's < 300.

I sold another chunk at the low point today ($29), now have 40% of the shares I held when I first invested. Still got way more $ invested than I did originally, but it went from 20% of my portfolio to 60% in the run up and now it's still well above 20% as I sold a lot of other stuff to buy a house too( just not as much as PDEX).

The 10k was out on Thursday and I didn't like it much at all. Think it will drop after their next earnings as they don't have any new products coming out until the two quarters after I believe and nothing in the pipeline that they didn't mention in previous reports. Backlog was down to $7 million, and nearly 40% of their earnings came from the Monogram loan they had written off being repaid.

I will look to buy back some on margin if there is a large drop in price the November earnings report as I still like the long term outlook of the company a lot. They announced they are purchasing a new facility due to increased future demand, have hired a bunch more workers and are still spending a lot of money on R & D. In the coming years they will probably sell some of their high margin products internationally as well. They are probably going to have less backlog in the future as they will probably be more able to meet demands more quickly due to the added workers and space as well.

With the market cap holding above $100mm it might attract some fund attention.

Big morning for pdex, not seeing any news though

I'd been considering scooping up more shares at 28 the last week or so, even yesterday, and just didn't. Woops

I think it's a technical move with small time swing traders all jumping in on a low volume stock. I also think their November earnings will disappoint and you will have the chance to pickup a lot of shares much cheaper in 3 weeks.

I could be very wrong, but it's the first time I haven't been super excited for earnings since I've been invested.

I came here to see if there was news. I'm going to assume bigt2k4 is right unless there's something we don't know about. The price has been moving between $27-32 since last earnings so a jump to $32.50 isn't that unusual. Just someone buying a lot of shares without much patience.

might just be momentum trades, might be, somebody knows something.

Like the rest of you I'm a bit puzzled by the volume today. I double checked SEC.gov and didn't see anything so assumed it was either day trades or larger institutional folks bidding up the price, but those are clearly just guesses. Not going to complain tho.

I also searched twitter and didn't see anything relevant.

If you look at that chart it appears to be a double bottom and hitting a trend line so it could just be it doing things that excite all the traders at once or it could be that+ an institutional investor jumping in.

I don't have much left, I sold 1/2 of my remaining investment now @40.25. I probably have the same $ amount left that I originally bought at $5.50 or whatever. I hope to buy back if the stock drops below $30

interesting I wonder if it has anything to do with AIRT -50% today, even though it still is 2x the price it was at last week

yeah, should be ~1.5mm at $20 per AIRT share. but that's still up 100% from last week.

So little update thought this was interesting but not sure what to make of it. I bring up AIRT because Nick and Ray who have the controlling stake owning of PDEX of around 40% I think. Form 4 came out today from AIRT that past couple days Nick and Ray each bought 40k shares around $20 which is 2x from the prices from last week.

Nick and Ray own a big percentage of AIRT too. They have been selling PDEX shares I think for for first time for this past month when prices were like $38-40 since buying at $2 and all the sudden start buying AIRT when it's up 100% in the past week and PDEX dropped 20% and no form 4 yet on them.

So seems they like AIRT. I didn't pull the trigger yet on AIRT but I'm interested more now that I see they each bought $800k worth. Any of you guys buy AIRT? I bought back into pdex on the dip yesterday.

I bought AIRT in 2017 and sold 3/4 of the position at 100% gain in 2018, so I still own a little bit but nothing compared to PDEX

So a little timeline here:

12/4 PDEX files an S-3 for $100mm
12/15 Swenson sells 20k PDEX shares
12/23 AIRT files a 8-K announcing a new $108mm equity vehicle to do something with airplane engines...The 8-K is kind of vague. The line of business itself basically an extension of one of their subsidiaries. This is why AIRT pops.
12/29-12/30 Some insider buying at AIRT.
12/31 PDEX announces $25mm stock offering after market close (this is probably why the stock sold off earlier in the week)

Something like 70% of the AIRT shares outstanding are owned by insiders so the true float is tiny. I wonder if this PDEX issuance is to buy more AIRT stock or whether it really is for general operating expenses and renovating the building like the prospectus says.
