Looking at specifically the numbers, I don't see anything egregious. Won't have time to read the report until later.

Net income is way down and there are 0 receivables left.

0 receivables? Notes receivables is down, but AR is up. Revenue is up nearly 10% from last quarter, unsure why income is down. Trying to view this on my phone while on vacation. Can anyone find out the driver of the income decrease? Was it a writedown on their marketable securities?

notes receivable being down is because of the the hotel loan being repaid.

biggest driver of net income being down is cost of sales and r&d being up. but r&d is actually more in line with last year. last quarter was more of an outlier and with the new products they are designing i think that was to be expected.

guess people were looking for more when they bought it up to ath pre earnings. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

going forward their investments alongside farnam seem to be a very important part of the business. i don't yet know what to think of that.

sucks that they don't hold conference calls.

backlog is down by 5m, but they have an order for 3.4m that's not yet in the backlog, so no huge change there.

if you're looking for this to double every few months like it did the last 3years, i think you need to move on.

A/R is negligibly down Q/Q, but yeah, was rushing over the #s second look through

G&A exp up 25%
R&D up ~90%
Backlog down a little over a million like BooLoo said

Seems like that is about it.

I don't think anyone was expecting it to 8x from here, but no one wants to see 10% AH dumps either.

This looks just like panicking to me. Numbers might not be as great as expected, but this looks too harsh to me. Or not?

Was feeling slightly sentimental about selling stock I'd held for like 5 years and wanted to be "smart". You're correct though.

As far as if this is an overreaction... I'm far too biased to say clearly. It's back around last q levels.

yeah... today was a bummer.

still don't think the quarter was that bad, but i guess that's what happens with 0 liquidity.

I think the quarter was fine, they've got 3 new products in the pipeline (one being released in the next quarter and two more in the pipeline) and they mentioned they're looking to start selling internationally, so I don't see increased spending as bad thing. Part of growing a business. Long term prospects still extremely good IMO.

Hm, -8% again today. Tough times. Not really understanding what's happening the last 2 months.

and just like that it's only 4%.

but yeah, it's been a couple ugly weeks. i would expect the company to buy back stock here as they were buying for about to ~$14 in q1, but maybe they aren't. really curious what is happening.

The most obvious answer would be people liquidating large positions in the face of the growth story being over, while having no liquidity. Many large positions would have basis in the 3-5$ range. Based on people itt not posting anymore, seems likely

Could be some sort of manipulation I guess but that's more conspiracy theory bs

Whoever bought before the earnings report and exited into the slightly off quarterly results. Also now the trade deal with China everyone was excited about is unraveling. markets going down everyday probably spooked some people out even though the stock isn’t really effected by it?

This stock typically has more action people bidding it up near the next earning report date. one month out I would say we would see some action again. But the next report is a odd one usually being 4 months apart, September if I recall? So this could be neglected for some time before being bid up again.

I started buying back into a position though I couldnt resist. I’m probably too early though.

I'm not sure how the growth story is over when they have 3 new proprietary products that are being released over the next 12 - 18 months and are looking to start selling internationally. I think now is a very good time to buy.

That having been said, I do think there was something of a speculative bubble in the stock ahead of the last ER which has popped. But the Company itself is fine, if you're looking at this through a value investing lens then I thought last quarter was fine and the prospects for growth over the next 12 months (which should translate into a materially higher stock price) are very good.

It should be clear I think the stock is undervalued, since I posted about buying the knife at 13. I don't think putting a couple of million into the board members meh investment firm was a sign of new and exciting things in the pipeline though.

Eh, I mean developing new products that have a long runway for potential growth and making an investment with excess cash aren't mutually exclusive. We'll see what happens.

Good find, thanks for bringing it to the board.
