Reality is that even cable companies don't care about cable TV. The new cable business is your Internet cable,
not your TV cable, and they are crushing it. It's very high margin, low turnover.
And when net neutrality eventually gets crippled, cable companies will thrive even more.

I'm not sure how anyone can make a case that Hulu, Prime, or anyone else is producing more quality content than Netflix. Of course there's tons of crap, but it still seems like Netflix is the best.
The best content creating machine is Youtube. There are thousands of channels cultivating massive audiences and actually creating new legit stars.
It is a real moat and it is getting stronger with better channel monitization and audience development tools. I ditched Netflix and Prime a few years ago and stick to Youtube for the niche-interest channels I love. And ironically, I'm going back to the movie theater as a social experience. Movie theaters are changing also and trying to become a destination with VIP-cinema perks.
