Is my company cheating me? Is my company cheating me?

I'm looking at my paystub. I'm one month in and my paycheck feels very light.

It's a sales job with a base of 2400 per month plus commission. The commission is paid mostly in cash, so it's not in the paycheck (which is a little suspicious, but whatever).

Now I claimed 2 allowances to get the most money now. I would expect to get about 1000 out of 1200 for a two week period. Instead I got 887.

887 out of 1200 = 73%. 27% tax bracked is a lot for wages this low.

At the top, for federal taxable income it says: $1090.91.

Where is the other $110? It's gone. I can't figure out where it went! Thanks for any help!

Just post a picture of the paystub. Hide personal details obviously.

Does the pay stub offer no detail? Wild guess would be state tax, social security, etc.

Let's start with the easy part. $1090.91 gross for 2 weeks is $2363.64 gross per month. If you are supposed to be getting $2400, then you are getting shorted. As for the net pay on 1090.91 claiming 2 allowances, that looks about right. I ran a paycheck simulator using Oklahoma as the state, and it kicked out $890 net

Combine the fact that there are more than 4 weeks in a month with the fact op likely didn't work exactly 2 weeks before getting his 1st paycheck and I suspect it'd add up.

Definitely wait at least one more pay period before saying anything. de captain is probably right and you are probably wrong. Avoid looking like an idiot at all costs basically.

lol it's obv 90% or so to be correct

the stub should literally itemize everything to make it obvious
