There is never consensus, that is how the asset prices are discovered.

20000 is when I will consider selling. but id probably try to ride on the wave until a major indicator is crossed. it think this probably wont stop at a fair value valuation but way above as monetary policy just seems hugely expansionary right now.

Depends on the next few days, but probably okay.

I'm in for some at 47 and some more at 51 and I held through the carnage today.

You should tell us relative position size, time frame, risk tolerance and reasoning before we vote thumbs up or down.

A good way to start investing is asking why (not what).

Certainly 2+2 polling is not a way to beat / predict the markets.

Risk tolerance is high. I don't need the cash for anything any time soon. Mid
30's still earning and plan to do so for another 30 years or so. I have a decent cash backstop to get by for 6 months or so in case of work stoppage.

DJX is about 25% of my current portfolio.

The rest is in the US stock market. This is my first venture outside of the country so to speak but I have been considering an investment in the Tips.
Any ideas of a good etf or mutual fund I can cost average quarterly with the tips?

I'm sell stopping at 20% below my entry point. Not exactly sure what the exit strategy is but am thinking some around 120-125 yen.

Your timing could be pretty epically bad here. I'd be making sure I held true to that 20% stop.

Should make a note that I don't trade after hours and since this the Japan stock exchange it could get tricky if volatility gets really bad over there. But I should be able to find some kind if exit point near my target.

So did you sell?

At the peak it was up 45% from your initial post, now it's up 25%. With currency conversion costs (JPY has massively depreciated), it's up only 12% (if you bought in USD and then coverted back to USD on sale), which is on par with the NASDAQ, S&P 500, etc.

So have you/are you selling out or are you going to ride this hopefully higher?

Anyone else think that the nikkei is a short/ yen a long after this rally out of these really oversold conditions. Looks to me like a classic bubble top and if you look at most of these things they almost all have a nice sharp rally higher that you can fade.

Thoughts?

I think you should wait until the BoJ meeting tomorrow night for direction but if I had to guess, if treasuries keep getting sold, then USDJPY is going higher.
