Hell If I knew it would be worth millions of dollars for developing a new poker game then a couple of NLH variants I introduced to my home game might make me a very rich person. Maybe twice as rich as just one variant.

FRIEND, the buy in of poker ranges from freeroll to million.

So, if you create a new game that has buy in millionaires and wants to sell your invention for 10 dollars, YOUR PROBLEM. SALE AND SOON!

Bene's post was an indirect reference to a principle in business, that the ability to defend margins (and make a profit) depends on the barriers to entry. Your belief is that a game, which I am sure is enjoyable and has some merit, is worth a large sum of money. But the reality is, coming up with a game concept is not difficult, and there are no barriers to entry. Just on this forum alone, there are many, many people who have the intuition, quantitative abilities, and creativity to come up with games equal to or greater that NLHE in terms of playability, balance, and strategy. There are literally thousands of bright young game designers sitting around trying to come up with the next thing.

If it seems like people here are not taking your idea seriously, it is because it is a very common thing for someone to think 'Hey, there are billions in poker and gambling...I know, I will just come up with some variant of poker and then claim it for my own and become rich'.

I have an MBA in entrepreneurship. We studied over 300 case studies of individuals with ideas and their attempts to take them to market. It is insanely difficult. You typically have to have an idea that is 10x better than current, entrenched products to get any market share. Actually, getting my MBA is one of the reasons why I decided not to become an entrepreneur.

And what do you think is worth the spin on the poker market? How much is blast worth? How much is flopmania worth?

That is, by its concept the inventor of the spin go sold his copyright for pokerstars for USD 350.00. AND DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH DO POKERSTARS INVOICE USING SPIN GO?

I'm not charging millions to get access, but when I have one interested, it will not take my signature for 1 dollar!

hat makes those games valuable? the uniquness of the idea? or is it the execution, the delivery to the market, and the branding of the sites that deliver the games?

To use another example, there are a lot of decent scripts that are floating around hollywood, yet some tripe, rehashed storylines get made into a Michael Bay Transformers movie and make hundreds of millions. Do you think it was the script that made the property valuable?

I wish you no ill will, and hope you succeed. I am just trying to point out why you have probably encountered more negativity than you expected.

The problem of the human being that he always wants to profit from the poor. Semper wants to stand out in fashion.

Whoever earns money is making less money. but if the miner knew he would make money out of the gold mine and sell the diamonds in the big cities; would never sell at a banana price in the gold prospect.

I'm not starving and I know the value I have. Well, nobody fools me.

but thanks for your opinion a kiss girl
