Not shorting it. I believe bitcoin won't succeed, or frankly the US gov won't let bitcoin succeed, and they will invent "govcoin for quickly trading the USD" or visa will come in with "visa-coin" or something like that.

Obviously I can buy visa stock, how would I go about investing into the Government / what are ways to invest against bitcoin?

You can't really short bitcoin reliably. The bitcoin exchanges that have shorting are likely to go belly up if the bubble crashes, so you have large counterparty risk with a maximum upside of 100%. Not a good trade. You're out of luck for now.

You could try shorting one of the scam bitcoin pennies. Not a fun ride though, lots of irrationality and manipulation.

I don't want to buy another crypto. I believe the whole crypto system is a sham. I want to invest in something anti crypto.

If you want to fade crypto all together then IMO gold is a good option. Goldmoney is an interesting option which allows you to buy gold online which you actually own. You are not buying a stock you are buying actual gold.

From what I understand you can actually load a credit card with this gold value and spend it like a traditional cc. Basically the future could see people owning gold but then spending via credit cards. Very interesting. There was a guy on one of the recent Joe Rogan podcasts talking about it.

If you think crypto is going to fail then naturally investors will be freaking out and rushing to a safe haven which has traditionally been gold and I suppose to a lesser extent USD.

Why on earth would you buy virtual gold from some weird site when you can buy GLD, a regulated instrument?

The crypto space is tiny compared to the flows in currency or gold. Especially as crypto crashes.

Bitcoin and other cryptos in general are completely uncorrelated to traditional markets and asset classes. Look at the historical charts for yourself, its a difficult thesis to make a trade around it using legacy tools.

their technology is also pretty instrumental in AI/deep learning/data science, i doubt bitcoin moves the needle substantially for NVDA...
