Rockefeller, Carnegie, Gould were relatively wealthier than Gates or Buffet or Bezos. And back in those days the poor were really poor. Now the lower class has cellphones and flatscreen TVs and cars a lazyboy and fridge full of frosty brews or boxes of wine. In many ways they have more creature comforts than any of the old time robber barrons.

The beauty of it is if you don't like your lot in life you can work your way up. It's up to the individual though to take personal responsibility for there own lives.

I didn't use wealth disparity as an argument, I used it as an indication, or 'symptom' might be a better word. I have zero problem w/ the rich. They are necessary to point to as an ode to effort. Zero problem unless everybody else doesn't have the chance, or impediments are placed in their paths, to acquire riches themselves.

My fear is easy enough to understand: Destroy the middle class and the destruction of civil society is certain.
