Behold Global Energy Network Co. It has a fake website,
http://gbnwus.com/, where the "contact" url provides nothing to contact. "Our team" has managers with names, but their descriptions are all identical Latin sentences. Etc.
The stock (GBNW) began years ago as an internet gambling enterprise, but the current incarnation claims it makes (unnamed) proprietary lithium batteries.
The stock activity is curious. Volume is usually zero, sometimes just 300 shares in a day. The offer is always .64. Sometimes there is a tiny trade that keeps the last price at about 1.20.
So it looks to me like some moribund stock is being manipulated, and presumably this follows a pattern. So is someone trying to accumulate shares at .64 that they think they can trigger a bubble? Or what?
I discovered it because a stock laying around in my account from years ago suddenly went from virtually zero up into the single digits. Sell it all at .64 or wait for takeoff shenanigans that may never come?
