It's a great feeling going to sleep, waking up and seeing such massive gains. I still think this is just the beginning guys. At this rate, there might be a runup to well over $1k.

what do you guys see happening to BTC once the flip happens?

given that BTCs biggest strength is its market penetration, name recognition, network effect etc, it seems like BTC is in for a rough time once ETH surpasses it in market cap...?

Nobody has a clue. Will mainstream media cover the event? I know it's a big deal for us but for most people it's like a weirdo beating another weirdo at a fist fight, they don't care. If MSM covers this, it could snowball quickly imo.

The real trouble imo is if the exchanges start adding eth pairs for all the other random alts and users gravitating to it. Not to mention scaling, and the big cnn article that the world will see on/after flipping day.

What's the best way to buy a lot of ethereum with bitcoin without having to verify identity? Do any exchanges offer this?

Posted this awhile back in the thread but needs to be reposted so everyone understands what's going on right now. This graph and not price is the true flippening happening right here, right now. Look at this graph every day/week and understand this is why we're about to pass BTC any day/week now. Once we do I am pretty damn confident BTC will never (re)pass us again. Eth platform is starting to show it's growth potential, and BTC won't ever be able to match. This has been a foregone conclusion when you look at growth rates from even a few months back. So long as Eth transactions goes up steadily, that it itself is a reflection of true value within the network so enjoy the price movements, but forget about 'em regardless cause we're good

What's the best way to withdraw ETH that's on Coinbase?

you could withdraw the eth to your own wallet or another exchange and trade it for fiat there.

As far as I've read, one should be VERY careful cashing out to a UK bank if you value the accounts. Most well known high street banks are extremely trigger-happy for closing accounts with anything related to crypto.

The biggest good one is Nationwide, I have yet to read of them closing accounts.

Most big sites, Kraken / Gemini / Coinbase uses SEPA transfers in EUR which is generally horrible for us. Coinbase says they are "Looking hard to bring back GBP wire transfers", but that was March 1st.

I haven't set up anything to deal with the withdraw side yet, if ETH were to go to $50k/coin tomorrow I would now my plan would be to make a Nationwide account, Make an account on Coinfloor, link them up, sell the ETH to BTC on gdax / kraken / gemini / polo or whatever, BTC to Coinfloor, Coinfloor GBP to Nationwide.

I expect by the time it's worth cashing out other options will be available (at the least, direct ETH->GBP on Coinfloor).

https://shapeshift.io/ is pretty simple, although it seems btc transactions are going pretty slow in the last couple days. I think max transaction is only around 2 BTC though. I think you can do as many transactions as you want though, as you don't even have to log in. They charge like a 0.5% fee though.

More btc would be fine; its the safe play. ETH should rise until surpasses BTC marketcap is widely accepted/"thought to be true". Once ETH passed BTC i would guess people will start to look for other quality options. That time might be now? Everything else is riffraff though why i still like BTC long term.

Who knows everything is uncharted waters ri8ght now!! ETH could pass BTC by end of week. lol.
