Definitely becoming a bigger meth head with time. I'm still definitely a majority BTC holder but may continue to divest more into ETH. There's just too many things.

Consistently 10x tx fees used on ETH over BTC any given day/week/month. Meaning the network is quite a bit more valuable to it's users, even in this bear market.
10x the developers working on ETH related projects over BTC related projects at any moment in time.
ETH staking risk free rate of return
BTC is meaningfully inflationary for decades. ETH already deflationary even in the bear market.

I also really like ETH's current monetary policy. I think it was really elegantly devised because it answers so many questions very well. I think long term, if it's current monetary policy holds (which obviously it hasn't held the way Bitcoin's has) that it answers many more long term questions than Bitcoin does. Bitcoin's long term security budget is still an open unanswered question since few believe TX fees alone are sufficient based on any even Bitcoin-generous calculations. There could be things like Ordinals that solve it's security budget but who knows, it is unanswered for now as I already said.

Bitcoin does have some huge advantages that mostly come in the form of namesake which shouldn't be overlooked. But if Ethereum keeps performing the way it has been over time, at some point, that can over turn BTC. And if that does, that will be pretty monumental. I don't personally have any idea what that looks like, but I guess the ultra bull case is that the BTC/ETH ratio goes over 0.2. So the risk/reward here isn't insane by any means, but it's something.

And I'm bullish on Ethereum's political directionality meanwhile. OFAC compliance has been plummeting. And it's likely that some kind of fix involving state-sponsored compliance and MEV will be pushed through that forces blocks that burn the most to be chosen rather than the current exploit.

got about 1K ARB tokens worth $1,3K, sadly just interacted from 1 wallet... was it possible to interact from 500 wallets and receive 500 airdrops or they track you?

thinking about doing that for the metamask airdrop that will come sooner or later

yes and no. there was some level of tracking.

i'm not sure about metamask. your best bet would be to do swaps via their wallet.

here's a little thread for some opportunities you can try

Double check whatever you're interacting with via multiple sources.

I woke up yesterday with a small amount of FLARE / FLR in my coinbase account. Seems it came from owning XRP back in 2020. A "drop". Interesting, anyone else get this?

Anyone see Gensler's testimony today? Lot of speculation about how the SEC might regulate, but Gensler taught a whole course at MIT in 2018 about blockchain. I started watching it just to see where his mind is at, and I ended up learning quite a bit besides that.

Gensler got rekt lol. It was entertaining to watch, but ultimately I think it was just political theater from McHenry.

do you think one side of the political spectrum is more against crypto than the other? I was of the opinion that the conservatives were more crypto-friendly than democrats.

GOP is definitely more friendly on the whole, but there are some Dems that get it. Likewise, there's some Republicans that don't.

Has anyone followed Solana? My understanding is that when the "Sam coins" got sold, Solana began to pump. I do not understand how this works.

Why are you asking about SOL in the ETH thread? You know there's a thread for all other altcoins, right?

Try Googling "Why is Solano pumping?" You'll find lots of recent articles on the topic. As usual, there are various correlations that people want to see as causations.

This is what I see on Exodus. So the coins are currently on Polygon.

Just emailed them, let's see what they'll reply.

Edit: they replied very quickly.

I understand that you're trying to deposit using USDT. Please note that the addresses provided in the cashier are exclusively compatible with the ERC-20 network.

We do not support networks such as BEP-20, BSC, OMNI, TRC-20, Matic, or any others.
