(copy+paste from what i wrote before)
i think alot of us are trying to find the next neo/stratis/iota ICO rather than buy something already in the top 20 that went 100x in the last few months. at least with some % of investment. i'm hoping this thread helps collectively push us toward projects that are actually solid, useful, and have alot of growth potential.
some useful stuff i've found so far:
icowhitelists.com. especially this page which shows which ICOs have gained popularity (by telegram following) in the last 24hrs and overall. acts as a hype-meter. telegram itself is presumably useful too but i haven't made an account there yet.
http://icowhitelists.com/telegram-tracker-tokens-icos/
youtube seems better for ICO advise than existing coin advise, people are more cautious/skeptical and seem more objective and don't simply claim every coin is headed straight to the moon
ian belina and ohheymatty (as suggested by the_jackal21 in altcoin discussions), cryptocrush, the cryptoniac, cryptobud occasionally. i'm sure there's more to add to that list.
twitter i'm sure there's a bunch of people to follow for ico guidance, but the only 1 i know atm is mcafee. would appreciate some more names from whoever knows.
reddit is 95% nonsense/spam from what i can tell.

ok. disclaimer- i don't know what i'm doing and my opinions were mostly formed quickly. i bought into INS and bezop so far, and i'm looking at:
coinfi- "CoinFi offers crowdsourced and professionally curated research, analysis, trading signals, trading algorithms, and market-moving news to give cryptocurrency traders the real-time market intelligence needed to gain an edge."
looks like a good idea and ohheymatty did an long interview/ama with (ceo?) yesterday. even though i think it has a much lower ceiling than many other projects, i'll proly put a little on it if i don't find anything better. presale starts on the 15th, crowdsale 2nd feb.
nucleusvision- "Founded at Harvard University, Nucleus Vision is an IoT-based, contactless identification system that empowers retailers to identify and better serve their customers"
pre-existing company iirc and they have a bunch of big partnerships already. looks promising. ico date unannounced but should be Q1 2018.
gems (which currently tops telegram growth) just doesn't interest me for some reason.
props- don't remember what that is but according to my phone i was interested. sold out anyway.
right now im considering apex and polymath (free airdrop but im not sure theyre doing a public ico).
