Is there much verification if I don't withdraw or deposit fiat?

I am attempting to split my coins but running into trouble. I already sent my coins on the BTC chain to a new wallet (electrum).

I downloaded Electron Cash and it is telling me that the transaction has been replayed on the BCC chain. However, I can't find the replayed transaction on the BCC blockchain explorer. The explorer is telling me that I still have the BCC on the old address(es). My conclusion is that Electron Cash is buggy.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can access/send my BCC (without running a full node). In fact, I wouldn't even mind using some online wallet (since I am planning on sending my BCC to Kraken).

dosent take much to get tier 2 on kraken. usual approved in 24hrs but the site has been slammed all day so it may take longer. Also your daily withdrawal limit is only $2500 a day at tier 2

im not typically a tinfoil dude, but if you ever run into problems, not paying special attention to pt 3 could end up biting you down the road.

Companies and governments are getting very good at this. I can tell you that there are companies & agencies out there who know because of database leaks who owns every mt gox coin ever withdrawn, and you can bet that soon enough, they will have the same records for btc e and can map a huge majority of the blockchain to known peoples.

Their ability is as simple as grabbing a random past/present BTC address, and trace it back to when it was bought-- who it was bought by (actual person) and how it has been mixed/moved through the years. Its very scary and exists today. If Coinbase were to ever hand over their records, the entire blockchain could be mapped to real people.

TLDR: do not link your bcc addresses. break them up, send them randomly to a fresh address.

Just posting this for others' sake. I believe the reason Electron Cash was showing me replayed transactions is because it was connected to the wrong chain (i.e. connected to the BTC chain). See this post for more info:

1. you have no clue what you're doing. your likelihood of ****ing up a split right now is basically 99.95%

2. this is exactly how it's supposed to appear. you have bitcoins on bitcoin.

3. it turns out, you also now have bcc

4. electrum cannot "see" bcc chain because the bcc chain is not "bitcoin"

5. figure out a way to transact on the bcc chain

Download electron cash to access your bcc. https://electroncash.org
Do this on your own risk since it is not supported by electrum and could have serious security issues.

If you don't know what you are doing, waiting is probably your safest bet right now.

BCH Distribution Update
August 02, 2017
BCH Distribution Update

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) distributions have been calculated for qualifying Bitfinex users, and corresponding balances have been credited. Balances were aggregated across wallets with the resulting BCH being credited to each user’s Exchange Wallet.

What follows is an explanation of the calculations and adjustments used for determining the distribution coefficient.

The Numbers

After the fork, Bitfinex held 101,798.8855 BCH to distribute coming from 131,237.8562 BTC in settled wallet balances and -29,438.9707 BTC in unsettled margin positions, resulting in a distribution coefficient of 0.7757.

However, after adjustments for manipulation attempts (outlined below), the final coefficient used for distributing BCH was 0.8539

The Situation

The intent of the BCH distribution mechanism was to protect lenders who were already locked into loans at the time of the announcement and to avoid distributing negative balances to shorts on an uncertain value of an unproven digital asset.

With this intent in mind, the BCH tokens were distributed with an adjusting factor to account for long/short imbalances in gross margin positions. Accordingly, as shorts would not have to ‘pay’ BCH, we believe it was fair and symmetrical to not credit margin longs, yielding an adjusting factor that historically seldom varies more than 10% when compared with gross balances.

After the methodology announcement on July 27th, several accounts began large-scale manipulation tactics in an attempt to obtain BCH tokens at the expense of exchange longs and lenders on the platform, causing the distribution coefficient to artificially plummet.

We have determined that this kind of manipulation - including wash trading and self-funding shorts - is in violation of Bitfinex’s terms of service. Those who intended to take unfair advantage of the circumstances surrounding the BCH distribution at the expense of other users have been sanctioned accordingly.

The Resolution

Upon careful review and analysis, we have decided to disallow any hedged BTC balances in excess of any such hedged balances that may have existed at the time of the July 27th distribution announcement. While this may be disappointing to some, it is welcome news to the many users with bona fide BTC exposure through settled wallet balances. This adjustment increases the distribution coefficient from 0.7757 to 0.8539.

We do not take this action lightly. The inadequate timelines imposed upon Bitfinex forced swift action when addressing and remediating this situation. Our purpose has been to distribute all BCH to our users in the fairest way possible. Given the aforementioned restrictions, with our corrective actions, we believe that we have made good on that promise.

The Future

The next step is to monitor the forked network and open BCH withdrawals. We expect BCH withdrawals will be opened within the next 24 hours.

Regarding the possibility of adding BCH trading pairs, we continue to monitor the market. BCH deposits will only be enabled if and when BCH markets are created.

We will have another update within the next 48 hours to address these potential next steps.

Does anyone know of an exchange that is offering BCC(H) trading and is currently accepting BCC(H) deposits? I have tried Kraken, Bittrex and Liqui but they all seem to have their BCC(H) wallets disabled.

What wallet are you guys using to claim your BCH?

I have my BTC in a local Copay wallet and although that doesn't support BCH I do have my private keys and I want to import them into a BCH wallet so I can move my BCH to an exchange that supports BCH.

You can try Electron Cash: http://electroncash.org/

However, I do not believe any exchanges are accepting deposits of BCC(H) currently. In fact, the BCC(H) chain has not found a block in ~13 hours (see https://www.btcforkmonitor.info/). Even when the exchanges do enable BCC(H) deposits (which will likely only occur after the BCC(H) starts to find blocks consistently - so far, it has only found 2 blocks since the split), they will likely require 6 confirmations, which would mean that a deposit (at this rate) would require 3 days.

most exchanges are requiring 20-30 confirmations.

Even with difficulty retargets you're probably looking at 2-3 weeks minimum.

I'm looking to make a withdrawal from a poker site to blockchain to coinbase. I was worried about the fork fluctuating the price more than I'd like, but it looks like it's been fairly stable. Should I be good to make my withdrawal without risking a ton of value (about 4 bitcoins)

If I backed up the private keys to my local wallet, I should be able to safely just move the coins out of the wallet and it won't affect my BCH then? And down the road I can import those keys into a new BCH wallet and send to an exchange once the world is ready for that?

If you want to dump BCH as soon as possible use hitbtc.com. Only 2 confirmations are needed there. No AML/KYC, you can instantly withdraw your BTC after you have sold. Unfortunately the price is also very low there compared to the other sites (currently 0.09).

How trustworthy hitbtc is, I have no idea, but from your BCH hits the exchange to you have your BTC back should not take more than an hour.
