So if my math is right over $90M has been pulled out of the Bitcoin market in the past few days. Pretty crazy.

They must have rebranded when they got the domain. That's what it used to be, though.

Not necessarily, tons of people are just trading. Buy at $20, sell at $30. Or if you are not so fortunate, buy at $30, sell at $20.

Operator was too cheap to buy a new domain name, and now he's pulling in hundreds of K's?

Sick life.

does anyone think it would be possible for americans to play on euro sites using bitcoin? for example, if it were possible to get a neteller account (i'm not sure what the requirements are for getting one besides not being an american) then you could trade BTC for neteller and deposit on euro sites and cash out the same way.

that americans have dollars is not whats keeping us off of euro sites.

I don't think you understood what I was trying to ask.
Could I for example do this: buy BTC, trade BTC for money on neteller or for ukash or something, use that to deposit on a site that doesn't accept american players. idea being to cash out in the same way. i would use a VPN, register in my name then just say that i am staying with a friend in whichever country the VPN is in if i got any questions.
is this plausible or is there something i am missing?

I'm going to start my own e-currency and call it: MadoffCoin

At least the tulip craze and the beanie baby ebay rush lasted more than a few months.

That's the biggest threat, is people start creating clones. Until then, this stuff is *actually useful*. Now the market is really screwy, I'll admit that. The reason is, there's a ton of hoarding during expected rises, then finally a sell-off which opens up a ton of supply, then prices go back down.

There's a reason there are certain price points I'm buying, certain I'm holding, and certain I'm selling. It's all about knowing the market and knowing how the biggest holders and buyers are reacting.

But even in a bubble, there's a fundamental value to the coins. It might be lower than $20 (probably is, right now). But it might not be in a year or two. If this becomes the de facto official standard currency for black market transactions (or even takes a significant portion of them), it's got huge potential. That's what makes it better than Tulips or Beanie Babies- there is actual demand for using it for certain activities. The biggest test besides competitors is seeing if the gov't can crack down the black markets.

i understood.

re-read the above statement, but substitute 'euros' for 'btc'. its the same thing. you could just use dollars even. the currency you have in your pocket isn't the issue since it most likely can be traded for any other currency. your "trade btc for netteller money" step, if it could be done at all, could be accomplished with any currency, not just btc.

man what a crazy bounce, this reminds me of otcbb & pink sheets stocks, they usually decline 60-70% after a huge run and then bounce 100%+. Although otcbb & pink sheets go down even more after the bounce...but we'll see about this.
