Even LTC had a massive breakout. Shot from just above $4 to almsot $6. I've never seen a breakout like that in ltc, makes me think something is up.

Since I've been waiting for a crash it has doubled again

I'm beginning to think dollar averaging is the way to go.

Is there any correlation between bitcoin and the strength of the dollar?
I wonder if the Fed does decide to cut QE and raise interest rates (not happening anytime soon, wall Street is addicted to QE and 0% interest rates) I wonder if that could be a catalyst for bitcoin to crash...
Since investors have more faith in the dollar and drop other forms of currency IE gold, silver, bitcoin etc.

The bitcoin market is still so small, this kind of macro stuff really has no impact. The wild swings you are seeing is because there is very little float in a very hot market.

anyone who understands about LTC, could tell me if it's a good investment to buy some LTC to keep them around 2 years? Could it happen the same as BTC or are we talking about a completely different thing?

Anyone have any thoughts how bitcoin may affect gold/silver in the future? Surely at some point the amount of USD flowing into bitcoin has to affect PMs right?

I have some LTC in the short-term, but I really don't plan to in them long-term. They're pretty much BTC in form (with some small tweaks). Most people in here are fairly critical of them. They may be around in 2 years, but I very much doubt they're going to do what BTC has done.

It kind of depends on whether you think Gox is ever going to live up to its promise of putting them on their exchange...and whether Gox will continue to have decent sway at that point. I'm getting more skeptical of both factors with each passing day. If they do it soon though, LTC will probably get a decent short-term bump.

Here's an example of what a CoinJoin transaction looks like, by the way: https://blockchain.info/tx/e4abb1531...7c2befd4febf3b

A big jumble of inputs, outputs, and fees makes it hard to figure out which addresses are linked. If you know the owner of one of the inputs, it's very difficult to tell if he owns any of the other inputs and what output(s) he created.

I'm looking forward to using this as much as possible.

600 stamp as of this post. And it's just gonna keep going.

What do you guys think about the recent Chinese narrative? (Eg. http://money.cnn.com/2013/11/18/inve...bitcoin-china/ ; chinese documentaries/positive press is allowed/encouraged by govt etc.) This narrative has been around for a while, wondering if anyone had additional insight into the chinese market.

Also hate to get all "dot com bubble" up in here, but I'm feeling pretty good. Here's why:

Pretty sure the guy who put 182 BTC in is the one who gets 152 out.

They need to output in fixed amounts.
