What bugs me most about Bitcoin is the people like eh777 and all the terrible, terrible reporters and pundits who don't even understand what Bitcoin really is or how it works, but they can't just say "well this is the first cybercurrency I have ever heard of, know what, maybe I'll actually think about this for more than 5 minutes, and then form an opinion". No, they have an opinion right away *AND* it's insanely vehement.
I saw a tweet from some business reporter last night that said "How does Bitcoin even get made, solving math problems like Farmville or The Sims? #gimmeabreak" and it's like: Oh yeah, that's right, you know how you SOLVE MATH PROBLEMS IN FARMVILLE AND THE SIMS, great frigging point buddy. It's like, why does this guy think he actually is in any position to make some statement on it when he thinks it's like Farmville?
There's another reporter who wrote this laughable story when Instawallet shut down where she couldn't even get the name right, she called it Bitwallet or Instacoin or something before they fixed it a day later, and I saw that yesterday she reported that Mtgox was closed for 24 hours, even though she was linking to a story those name was "Mtgox closed for 12 hours" (or that was in the URL or something). Oh yeah here it is:

It's just amazing that all these people REALLY think they are super smart and know everything and yet they can't even get the basics right. If you don't even know the name of the company you're writing about, go ahead, write the story, but maybe just give it a neutral spin, ya big dumb dumb.
