That's indeed correct and an important point.

Yeah looks like they changed it 11/1. FTX looks like the best btc cefi play.

China is constantly banning something. I have cryptocurrency and I don’t pay attention to China. Although understand that all world processes are interconnected.

Coinbase allowing BTC collateralized loans up to 40% LTV at 8%. I won't touch it at that interest rate but it's good for the industry and competition will drive these rates down soon enough.

Brian Armstrong sure has a punchable face but really knows how to rape retail on fees.

I honestly don't know. They all kind of scare me.

I've used
Compound
AAVE
Celsius
Blockfi
Nexo
Crypto.com
Gemini

Out of those, Compound was recently exploited for a bunch of COMP. So who knows when they will be exploited for a bunch of whatever coin you are staking.

AAVE wasn't exploited, but Cream Finance was for hundreds of millions and supposedly AAVE has a similar/same weakness. The guy who hacked Cream Finance left a message "gÃTµ Baave lucky, iron bank lucky, cream not. ydev : incest bad, dont do." Which pretty much insinuates they could have gotten AAVE also.

Blockfi sent out a bunch of BTC on accident and "Former chief U.S. commodities regulator Christopher Giancarlo has resigned from BlockFi's board of directors after only four months". Seems like a warning flag.

I think the key is to find a few you like and spread across them.

Given that they've changed it [at least once] now, don't be surprised if they lower it again at the end of the year.

I doubt that rate will go down. It's comparable to Celsius' 6.95% and 8.95% for 33% LTV and 50% LTV respectively. (1% at 25% LTV.)

As mentioned above, I'd split BTC between a few different sites. APR below is from memory, so may not be accurate.

Celsius 6.2%
Ledn 6.1%
Nexo 4.2%
FTC 5.0%(?)
Crypto.com 6.1%(?) if outside US, 3.5%(?) for US
BlockFi. Avoid unless it's <0.1 BTC, 6%

I withdrew all on the NY AG news. The free withdrawals on Ethereum main net kinda sketch me out on there, idk how that can be possible. I tested it once and they let me do a free $5 ETH withdrawal when gas was sky high.

FTX is 8% on your first 10k(including fiat)and 5% on everything over that in usa.

Alternative option: Solend on the Solana network (https://solend.fi/dashboard) is offering 6.71% APY (4.80% in BTC + 1.92% in SLND) on wBTC deposits.

You deposit it into a smart contract, earn continuous interest 24/7, and can withdraw at any time for free.

The easiest way to get wBTC is probably by depositing BTC to FTX and then withdrawing the BTC to a Solana address.

No comment on Glassnode but I love Will's analysis. This guy is another on chain superstar too:

depends how big your portfolio is and how active you are. i have a tier 2 account and will probably upgrade to tier 3 for the next cycle but i think it's unnecessary for most people. it's great for watching long term trends develop or reassurance when the market is unexpectedly down 50%. another quiver in the bow as they say.

^ as brock said, many on-chain guys on twitter put out good reports, but bitcoin is about anti-fragility and relying on others for your due diligence is anything but anti-fragile.

Yeah FTX definitely seems like the best bet. They also guarantee your principle with their own funds and equity. I did a mini-writeup on why I think its the best and safest Cefi option a couple months ago.

Obviously I never come to this thread and I'm not very involved in bitcoin, but I had a question: If bitcoin is a public ledger, why are people able to steal bitcoins/defraud bitcoin holders? Consider the hacking of one of the exchanges—why didn't all the addresses that were stolen from get digitally marked (in the same way a bank robber might received marked bills that he would then be unable to pass), and then all transactions stemming from those ill-gotten addresses would be permanently flagged on the ledger? Is this sort of "marking" of tainted addresses a feature of bitcoin, and if not, why not?
