Never go full ****** and sell all your crypto.

Once you sell, you realize why you should HODL.

To be fair, the tweet is also correct in that's how banks work.
Not your keys, not your coins. I just don't think the piece matters.

Wait, so let me get this right. The reserve ratio is at 0% which basically means banks can loan out infinite money right? I mean, I always knew the federal reserve could do this, but I had no idea that the banks were at 0%. Am I understanding this correctly?

Was planning this sell for a while. Learned my lesson from 2017. Now I've taken enough profit to feel financially secure and still have 6 figures to play with in crypto. GL to everyone still 95%+

Interesting how ETC and DOGE are weathering the drawdown better than almost anything. Retail not selling as much ?

You didn't buy stocks of companies who have BTC on their balance sheet, physical gold, and physical silver?

No. Don't see value in any of those.

Just made by far my biggest bitcoin purchase in terms of cuck bucks. I really wanted to buy a few digital horses, but figured bitcoin is a safer bet.

Also bought some at 55k

Actually used my credit cards, since my fiat has been frozen for 1 week after a refinance. Banks are a joke. If BTC crashes massively I am selling every single asset I own and going all in.

This dip allowed for more buying. My fiat thanks me.

You know you can easily and permissionlessly put crypto profits in stablecoins or gold at any time, any day, right?

Yes, it is.

Is this something these 'future of finance' geniuses don't know?
Never heard of government deposit guarantees either?

We are all killing it in this market.

It's about wealth preservation for us more than gain maximization.

Well-said.

If you have solid income -- i.e., are not reliant on crypto gaining to sustain your standard of living -- then it is the most reckless thing in the world to simply not auto-buy X amount of BTC every 2 weeks for the next 10 years or what have you.

Never sell. Then live off the interest.

That's where we see things differently. I see crypto as a vehicle for gain maximization, not wealth preservation.

I mean, I'm putting my whole life into crypto, so...

I see it as inevitable. It's not even an option.

I don't really care about money, though. To me money is a tool, wealth is a tool for:

- Health
- Family
- Community
- Self-sufficiency

That's why I pretty much save everything. I grew up lower middle-class. I grew up in the ghetto. So whatever. I love that Vitalik makes it a game to find the cheapest hotel to stay in when he travels. I don't like consuming. Because, for me, my intention is to leave anywhere I am at better than it was when I left it. So the more I consume, the more I must give.

I don't like this statement. "I don't really care about money" but, you clearly want it or need it. So what is it, you don't care or you do? Everyone cares in some regards about money.

Quit using this to make it sound like you're that rarity that doesn't. We all do.

It means money motivates me only insofar as it grants me health, family, community and self-sufficiency.

I see a lot of hoarders amongst wealthy people and I think it leads to an imbalanced life.

How often do you hear great businessmen talk about their families? I mean, how often do you hear *their family's perspective* on the demands the ambitions of their patriarch had on the family? You think Elon Musk is some great family man?

I'm speaking my mind. What makes you think I care what I sound like? I don't know anyone on this forum. I don't care what you think of me. Isn't that obvious by now?

Well to me it looked as if you wanted to portray you're not as douchey as you come off sometimes. And you wanted us to know you have some moral journey that makes your behavior justified.

Odd, but, you do you.
