Still a bubble, sadly you won't realize who the experts were until you can't do anything about it, you live and learn, good luck riding my little pony.

Banks will always serve a useful function, Bitcoiners who claim otherwise have no idea what they're talking about. Central banks won't serve a useful function, more and more people agree with this right now.

They likely will. But the biggest threat is something far better coming along that can actually handle transaction volume. That's when you'll bend over and say hello to your uncle.

Banks store all kinds of things, including gold before it was made illegal to hold in the 30s and confiscated.

Yes, most of bitcoin's value is a ponzi. The value stack looks like this:

Legit activity, non speculative mainstream value transfer (<1%)
Illegal/Gray activities like gambling (~10%)
Ponzi (~90%)

Good good let the hate flow through you. Invalidates your whole argument when you have such a ridiculous attitude.

Also Toothsayer im still waiting for a reply to my previous post in this thread where i quoted you. You seem to go quiet when people point out the massive holes in your ridiculous statements.

Attitude doesn't invalidate argument. Arguments stand on their own, grasshopper.

I probably didn't respond because your post was stupid or could be refuted by a 5 year old. When I search the thread this is the last one I get:

You sound angry bro. Aggressive sarcasm is usually a sign of a low wit. You're angry because the world isn't as you want it (showing entitlement) or as you expect it to be (showing stupidity) and you feel powerless to change it (showing lack of wit/balls/creativity), so you lash out impotently.

To quote you:

But if you did actually ask something substantive that I missed, feel free to requote it.

There you go maybe your thread searching skills need some help. You also didn't reply when you proudly announced Australia will soon have instant domestic bank transfers that will kill bitcoin and i pointed out the UK have had them for the last 12 years.

Im also the least angry person you will ever meet i have no need to create some fantasy of being successful on the internet while living in eastern Europe. Living expenses in the West a bit too much for you boss?

I'm not living in Eastern Europe. Did for a while but my home where I've spent most of the last six years is the French Riviera.

I ignored your post because it was silly and irrelevant, not because you had a point. Any contraband can be safe from confiscation and tracking with extraordinary effort and care, the 1 in 1000 doesn't disprove the point. Yeah, I concede you can continue to rat-hoard your 1%-of-current-value bitcoin in the scenario where the government bans it. I'll be cheering for you!

What you call extraordinary effort and care is just having a few friends i realise thats tough for someone as arrogant as you. Who is worthy of being friends with the great thought leader no one is your equal!

If the government bans bitcoin and tries to shut it down, you'll have to go to substantial trouble to both access bitcoin and keep it untracked. I guess you don't realize how things work.

I guess you think your hardware wallet connects to a node via quantum mechanics?

If the government banned terrible posters from posting on the internet you would be out of a job but they haven't done it yet. You see where we can go with these what if scenarios and there is no credible threat to bitcoin from any one government right now. It would need to be a collaboration between the G7 nations to hurt bitcoin badly and there is not even a notion of that happening except in your ramblings.

I think it may be able to get fairly close to being 'bankless' with the dapps available these days. Loans, withdrawals, transfers and investing are all available via the blockchain and it's only getting more adopted.

I am SURE the banks will find a way to weasel there way into the scene though... certainly VISA is.

That's you dismissing me because you seek validation while I don't

I'm amazed to see people believing the US government will eventually ban bitcoin. What exactly is the logic for believing this?

They'd prefer not to be able to track transactions

CME gap at $9700 - if you have not bought yet I would put a limit buy around $9720

This thing could go parabolic

Yeah I don't see why you wouldn't get a continued run. Tardmoney is running hard - gold, silver, alts, and bitcoin fits right in. The bank thing, while meaningless, provides a nice narrative for a ponzi wave ("Banks are legitimizing bitcoin! You can use bitcoin with your bank account!"). Doesn't matter if it's true or not, ponzi waves require good stories. People check why it's up, see the bank thing, see the fiat narrative, decide to get in on the ponzi.

So yeah, worth a gamble if you want. I'm sticking to stocks though (or even calls on metals if that's your thing), better return with less risk. You can 20 bag (easily) a run on gold calls while bitcoiners are getting excited about a 10% move.

I would say equities are one of the riskiest assets you can be in right now.

How have stonks gone up by so much in the past few months with such a terrible economy with most business closed, no one working or buying anything? How does that make sense?

Shhh I want to see him figure it out on his own. Enjoyed the "btc not volatile enough, only went up 10% in a weekend, can't believe you dummies are excited" take.
