BTC LN will have first mover status until something better comes along. LN development has been pretty underwhelming so far. There are other blockchain projects that I personally believe to be better long run coins that bitcoin but it is hard to gain market share relative to BTC until something really start rolling. Bitcoin will always remain a store of value but the worldwide currency aspect or potential is shrinking imo.

Bitcoin has not failed in the slightest. People are using it in extreme cases cases like in Venezuela because it is a viable option of last resort that is traded globally. Things haven't even started. If Bitcoin 'Fails" or is made quantum obsolete, another chain will step in. The strength is in the idea of decentralized store and transfer or value, not the supremacy and victory of Bitcoin. In this day and age of hightening non-cooperation it would be silly to not realize the inherent and revolutionary value of blockchain currency as a free individual. The upside and potential is tremendous.

Also don't worry about the price, just trade that sht I hope it chops between 6500 and 7000 for months. This is another reason crypto will not fail is traders can make money and this market is worth participating in. Its a self sustaining ecosystem with enough participants and projects that will adjust to any circumstance outside of nuclear war.

Arthur Hayes owner of the price manipulating exchange Bitmex said it is going to chop between 7-10 for some time. Then I see 12-18 chops once market fears smooth. After that hopefully a Fomo train to 30+
