Bitfloor's average daily volume was somewhere between 1-2k coins. Why would they keep 25000 coins in a hot wallet after everything that has happened to almost every other site? It's just ridiculous.

Also I thought it was interesting Calvin Ayre commented on bitcoin:

Seems like the last couple of hackings have had no effect on the price of bitcoins. Makes me think the market is getting smarter.

Shockingly, Matt did not pay the roughly $900000 worth of coins he owed.

The reason I originally thought it would pay was that the amounts matched the large bet against pirate that was actually escrowed and was scheduled to be released before the deadline of this bet. I thought maybe the winner of that bet wanted to be rid of the 'dirty' money which 'belonged' to victims and Matt was fronting for him to both obscure that fact (temporarily) and as publicity stunt. When it went over 10k it just made no sense anymore.

sealswithclubs.eu for bitcoin only. There might be a casino like switchpoker that is larger over all however, none are open to us players.

looking to buy a few bitcoins (nothing crazy), if anyone's willing to help me out I'd appreciate it!
*just thought i'd mention the reason I'm not going thru mtgox (which is pretty much my only option) is that i can only fund it through bank transfer and that takes forever

yeah the prob is i'm living in europe so I have no access to the wonders of LR and all that. I mean I've already found someone trustworthy that will take my GDMP (had a friend buy one for me thinking it would be super easy to exchange for BTC rly fast, I was wrong ) for a small enough commision, but even that takes 1-2 days and I was looking for something quicker.

Sorry, my post was fairly bad.

Matthew N Wright from bitcoin talk wanted to bet that pirate would pay back. I decided to bet 250BTC that pirate would not pay back. I was reluctant at first because I worried Matt would not pay, but I also thought there was very small risk of losing.

Matt kept taking bets past the 10kBTC he originally had said was the max. So by the end it wasn't that surprising when he didn't pay anyone.

Can somebody tell me where this idea is flawed? I'm sure it's illegal too .. If not, highly looked down upon ..

(Yes, I'm serious about this btw)

1. Buy/build a mining machine
2. Install mining software on machine
3. Sell mining machine on eBay/Craigslist

Assuming, I bought the machine for 1k and sold the machine for 1k. Shouldn't this yield a 1BTC/wk profit? I guess I'll also have to assume that the person keeps their machine on 24/7 AND they don't do a clean install of the software.

Ok, I thought you had some angle for thinking he was going to pay. It seemed pretty obvious it was a free roll since he wouldn't pay out if he lost and he was just delusional, or he had a bet he was sure to win.

Not in person.. We did it via session Sharing over ssh. We chated on voice, and I learned a ton.. A lot of bit coin is written in python.. That's where I met him.. I was on irc chatting about python programming and he asked if anyo e wanted to do some pair programming on a new digital currency project.. I was really interested in learning about pair coding so I took him up on it. Was really cool.
