Tech stocks/risk assets selling down today and taking bitcoin with them despite the ponzi enthusiasm from the Paypal news which had it way up before the market opened. Watch that correlation, boys, it's eating all your gainz.

The reality is you'll get your little 10%/half hour selloff when a whale dumps onto the fish (that means you) and +10% on your little penny stock/ponzi type pumps like Paypal news, but in the end it's a garden variety risk asset now with nothing to recommend over other risk assets.

It's so LOL because Bitcoin hasn't decorrelated YET. We are seeing the start of it in my opinion, so lets see what happens over the next 12-24 months. I think it will completely decorrelate and over time it will become less and less affected by stock market sell offs. It will also prove to us that it will be become a store of value but it needs a few trillion for that to happen.

What's really LOL though, is that for guy who thinks he's smart, calling bitcoin out as not a store of value and calling it out because it didn't act as a safe heaven when actually faced with a pandemic is pretty stupid. It's a 200 billion dollar asset, it's tiny, you know, I know that many are speculators and many are Wallstreet traders in the space, of course it was going to crash with other markets, the fact you want to discredit bitcoin and the fact you want to use that in your defense, just shows how illogical or incredibly stupid you really are! On a July earnings call with analysts, MicroStrategy President and Chief Financial Officer Phong Le said those measures were necessary to shore up its balance sheet.

"The actions we've taken in the second quarter of 2020 and will continue to take the rest of the year should significantly reduce operating expenses going forward compared to second-quarter levels," Le said.
