What the hell are you all talking about? "The end"... smh.

The end would be everyone leaving the space. No transactions, miners closing down. Merchants no longer accepting Bitcoin. People losing interest. Seems like it is happening.

I don't buy the whale manipulation thing being responsible. I'm sure it happens, but I think the real reason the price is dropping is that People are losing interest. The excitement is gone and that is what was keeping the price up. People buy with the assumption that it will be worth more in the future. Everyone who wanted to buy bitcoin has already bought all the bitcoin that they want to buy. Now that nobody is buying anymore the price is slowly bleeding itself down. Bitcoin already hit mainstream and didn't take off. The chances of it succeeding as a world currency is decreasing. Oh sorry, "store of value"

I just sold 0.28ish Bitcoin as I type this. I actually was going to sell a couple days ago, but didn't get around to it and am regretting it. The price may go back up or it may continue to go down. Nobody knows.

There is a small chance that Bitcoin could become the global currency or whatever, but lets be real. That chance is very low at this point.

Ask yourself deep down if you actually believe in this or if you just want to believe in it. I think people just want a better life for themselves and they like to dream about being wealthy. The blockchain, technology, I'm a visionary. Yeah okay, sure you are.

What is more likely is we are going to lose all our ****ing money if we keep it in this. Sorry to be such a downer, but it is true. Bitcoin ETF? Not going to happen. Lightning Network? Meh.

Decentralized my ass. Everyone in the crypto space are crooked ****s. Craige White, Roger Ver, John Mcafee, every creator of all the alt coins. Those coins don't do **** and you all know it.

Who is this Satoshi Nakamoto? Is he really this crusader of some noble cause or is he actually a criminal who had malicious intentions and chose to be anonymous for other reasons. Be honest, it is shady as ****.

Think about all the smart successful people that you know in your life... What do they think about Bitcoin... yup. That's what I thought. Think about all the weird people that you know who dream up conspiracies and the world is out to get them. What do they think of Bitcoin... hmmm. Interesting.

I'm a dreamer, I like to imagine great potential for things, but I also like to be realistic from time to time. Bitcoin is going nowhere and you all know it. When/if poker becomes legal again then Bitcoin will really be screwed since it won't have a purpose anymore.

Bitcoin was originally created as a currency. Then after it was slow and ****ed up it became a store of value that is decentralized. Bitcoin's ten years of blah blah blah blah. Its holy record that is why it is valuable. Yeah okay, cool. This whole lightning network thing is suppose to make Bitcoin great again, but it is basically like how money we use now which isn't really a problem.

Ahhhhh the evil Fed. Nobody cares about the Fed's control of money except like 0.1% of the world. Everyone else is content with inflation.

The price is still dropping and it will go further I think. Down to $2,000 we go while everyone says it is normal and will moon. No it wont. No moon. No lambo. I think it will go down to $700 by 2020. Yeah, I use to say 100k, when I believed in the "technology" and vision.

**** Bitcoin.... Boooooooo Bitcoin...…... Boooooooooo. (thumbs down)

If so, it'll be of the dead cat variety.

$5,300 this morning, and no compelling take on intrinsic value to provide a bottom.

The real intrinsic value is the friendships we made along the way.

I love how people invested in these companies and after 8 months are already giving up? People like this are going to neck if 2019 sees crypto pumps. Imagine investing in january and couple months later you sell cause there is no payment infrastructure built yet lmao.

I'm pretty bearish but to say bitcoin "hasn't taken off" is just laughably wrong if you have been here since the beginning or close to it.

Coinbase will not take crypto from gambling sites. You have to go through a third party. It works if you go through Binance.

This is exactly correct. To me the surprise has been that it's taken this long for the air to come out of the bubble.

BTC will maintain some residual utility and value for gambling, drugs, and money laundering. Though even for those purposes it might get supplanted by something like Monero that doesn't make transaction histories public.

I have blockchain but they say the same thing as coinbase…

At 16:40 UTC on Thursday 15th November, the Bitcoin Cash network experienced a hard fork.
To keep your funds safe, we have temporarily suspended the ability to send, request, and exchange Bitcoin Cash. We will reintroduce these features as soon as the network stabilizes.

anyone know what this means?

This likely means that you have Bitcoin Cash, not Bitcoin, and will have to wait for the current Bitcoin Cash drama to unfold before you can use it.

It's the end, all right. The end of the bear market. The final shakeout.

Why don't they just give the coins back to their rightful owners? How hard is that?
