Do you realise the top exchanges are literally printing money with the fees involved? Bithump reported PROFTIS of >$200 million in the first quarter, FIRST QUARTER!

I would wait if you're not swing trading. BTC is going to bottom from anywhere between 5k and 1300. This bear market is has a ways to go.

Volatility, yes, but the overall direction is obvious. The mass mania is gone and unlikely to return.
And good luck guessing where the manipulators are gonna take it.

The last 4-5 mins of this video there is an example given of how a decentralized system could disrupt uber or airbnb. One thing that he says that I don't really understand is why can't you just have a blockchain without the token and people just still use cash?

Why would a token/coin be necessary for the riders to pay the drivers in? They could just pay cash with an app, no?

Because you can sell the coin to suckers and get rich quick.

There's plenty of very good analysis out there. And by the same people that called this bear market way before it happened (some of the biggest bears doing great T.A. right now are very bullish crypto in the next couple years).

And the theme continues. A question gets asked, and the answer is always some form of "the info is out there, go look for it". I'm starting to think no one here, bears or bulls, has any idea what they are talking about.

I'm not sure that's right. I am well aware I have no idea what the answers are here. In fact, I doubt I've given any answers ITT except in the most general sense.

Bought some bitcoin, was a bit of a hassle and reminded me a lot of using neteller back in the day. No reason I think it will go down or up now other than long term the supply dwindling will eventually push the price up.

Next step is: read "The Bitcoin Standard" , and take it from there.

How is it a hassle? takes about 30 seconds on Coinbase. If you're looking for info on BTC the best place to look is Bitcointalk.org. Not going to post links you can do your own research but the best stuff I've found is there as opposed to say twitter.

Someone/some bot has been buying and selling 0.001 btc multiple times every second on gdax for a few minutes now. it goes buy/sell/buy/sell the exact same amount over and over. No other transactions on the order book though

When will the supply of BTC dwindle? I thought the supply was going to increase for the next 150ish years (at a dwindling rate).

It was a hassle because it flagged the fraud dept at my bank, I did ask it to be allowed through which showed accepted at that time so I thought it was finished. Then I got an email that it reversed, in the mean time my bank locked my card which I didn’t find out right away. I eventually had to do another method which ultimately worked.

So yes, it was a bit of a hassle

It will give you a different perspective on money. But if you don't have the patience to read a book and only meme's, be my guest.
