bitcoin bears spike the football on the crashes

big YAWN to anyone who has been in the game for years.

Most people just have way too short of a timeframe.
+1, Long on bitcoin

Almost feels good to accelerate the process of the government attacks and the weaker money leaving the market.

I mean what happens if we get to the point where all the bitcoin is held by true believers that just are not selling. Supply basically cut off.

I am not an investor, so maybe not thinking about this right.

Technically, they don't have to cover balances in CNY do they? If they stop trading and you have to liquidate your BTC, you can move to your personal wallet and balance is cleared with those exchanges.

Nowhere in the rumored govt reports did it say the exchanges had to cash out customers to fiat.

Almost sounds like Black Friday. Piggy back a little itty bitty thing on top of a big thing.

I'm not selling by any means, it just seems like there's a chance this may have a bigger effect then meets the eye.

I gotta stop buying and either wait for a huge sell off to make a big purchase or just hold if the ride continues upward. ( I think we see some more selling to end the month) before the next move up

Im not really sure how to administrate it. Maybe if enough people are interested a trusted source could escrow and we could post say .01 BTC and leave the dates we all picked.

We could work out what exchange to use for the price and the metrics of the bet. I think staying above 5000 from 12:00 AM until 11:59 PM. In other words the price would have to stay above 5000 for one continuous day.

Hint: I would pick a day this year likely
This sounds like a use case for a blockchain based app to facilitate. There's no app out there that can do this?

Say you notice the price is rapidly changing in one direction, anyone have a recommendation for where to find info on what is causing it in real time?

I try search terms in Twitter but there's way too much noise there.

It's 100% for my own curiosity, not trying to FPS when it comes to cryptos. I am very well aware of my limitations in the space, all I do is buy and hodl and spread the good gospel to total noobs.

Good twitter follows besides Andreas would be nice to have too, if anyone has recs.

The Bitcoin wiki would probably be a good start off the top of my head.
Then move on to the Blockchain wiki.

Once you understand the basics, check out the bitcoin subreddit. They have tons of helpful information there.

A lot of resources out there. I've found everything by Andreas Antonopolous to be very informative: https://www.youtube.com/user/aantonop

Also have this video favorited if you're interested in learning about the technical details of blockchain technology: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bBC-...ature=youtu.be

Just my opinion
Its pretty impressive that bitcoin has been able to sustain a good price in the face of the fear mongering by the tyrannical Chinese government, and by the CEO of a major US bank, and by gold fund hawkers. Each of the groups seem pretty scared of bitcoin. I believe China anticipated that bitcoin would be a strong alternative to their fiat and they were right since China's credit rating has just recently been downgraded. I can't say that the bitcoin price will zoom up high real soon because there could be further public attacks on it for the next few weeks at least until November. 2018 could be a big breakout year for many reasons.

I just did a cashout to my bitpay wallet. $175. They charged me $14.50 to do this. Seriously?! Anyone else experience this? Any tips on avoiding this? Do the miners get to charge whatever the hell they want? That's disturbing to think you have no control over fees. I can't seem to get an answer anywhere. Thx

Any opinion on 0x coin (ZRX)? Just started investing in crypto about a month ago.

Most of me and my friends have been betting on Ark, Litecoin and NEO since we started.

The fee paid is determined by the sending party, not the miners. Companies tend to set higher fees than necessary because they don't want to deal with customers complaining about stuck/slow transactions when they try to withdraw. Personal wallets lets you decide your exact fee.

So this time I cashed out $300 directly to blockchain. That was free. Then sent $300 to my bitpay wallet. Total cost .05. So odd last time was $14.50 if I did co directly into bitpay wallet. Odd
