You just have to ignore the ridiculous first post here.

No news and a 50% pop. Odd.

Damn it. If I would've known I would've bought 100k shares yesterday. C'mon

Well, there was news...just not today - but neither news warranted that jump and it was yesterday and the day before so somebody must not read the Internet daily.

I would buy here at .80. I added a piece.

One reason the stock has been down so much is because its largest shareholder was a distressed fund. That fund dumped their 9mm shares on the TSX earlier this week.

Smart money has been buying - both parts of the block and in the market.

This was more than a double the first time around and for those that remember you know I posted all my buys and sells in real time.

...
Yeah, if by posting in real time, you mean, post both sides of an alleged scalp a week after the fact, then sure you are (see May 5 post above). Hm, now where have I seen that before?? Let's see, who was it that picked a loser but then allegedly scalped his way all the way down out of the loss? Hm, who could it be??

Let's see if I can find a post where you admit descalping after the fact. Or are you so good that just never happens?

To quote another one of your posts, I've never been so close to wanting someone moderated. On the one hand, it's like bad poker analysis--spotting it and responding to it is an essential part of learning. On the other hand, those new and naive stand to lose a lot more a lot faster.

So its at 1.35 now, any idea why? Selling half my position.

Sorry, you found the 1 post of 30 that wasnt. Congrats f*cktard.

Your argument is beyond ridiculous. Take 25 cents off here and there, I dont care. Its still a double and I clearly and convincingly said I was selling above 5. Now its a triple off the lows.

You and f*cktards like you are the reason I dont post trades here anymore. The sad part is you dont even get it. Of course others that I speak to privately know better.

Yowserrrs and I have crushed on this stock. He gives me his buys and sells. He's legit.

We talk trading almost every day - he's given me lots of good ideas and vice versa. I don't know how his rep around here got so tore up, prolly just because he posted some longs and surprise surprise they all got slaughtered long-term in the worst market in 80 years, but I believe he made money on even those names (BYD, AZC). I've crushed AZC. He's given me a lot of other ideas too. HNT at 9, etc. His timing is impeccable. Shorting GERN above 7. BRK (he posted that in the BRK thread here at some length). That had a quick turnaround too. List goes on. He has way too many positions (not to mention a real job in addition) to be posting real-time buys and sells here.

I don't know of any position, not even BYD/AZC, that he's taken significant pain on. Not one.

Yeah I don't understand the hate for Yowserrrs either. It sucks if he won't be starting more threads like this as a result though.

Weird to see this... I opened a long position in this on Sep.2, 2009 @ 1.88 in my CMA (don't really post much about that account here - more investing crap done there... buy-n-hold, buy-n-hold... blech!). Never saw any of this thread until today.

Just coincidental, that's all..... no real point to be made here.

Wish I hadn't had my small implosion back in May. I had some AZC under a buck that I had to take the profit when it was around $1.20'ish

I've been following this company since Yow first posted. I think I may be over exposed to it right now. It seems there are some issues with getting the required Permits and a lot of opposition in the region where AZC wants the mine.

Does anyone have any thoughts on recent developments. The stock is currently trading around 2.50ish. It was up at a high of 3.40ish last week. I plan on scaling back some of positions soon but not sure how much.

This has always been the issue with AZC.

The rise to a 52-week high and the point where it started to collapse to where it is now coincides almost perfectly with positive news on the USDA's undersec reiterating its inability to stamp 'no action' on the mine, and then negative news with the USDA chief doing a complete 180 after visiting a Tucson town meeting kinda thing.

P.S. I suggest using an RSS feed to track local Tucson and Green Valley newspapers to get these local news releases quicker, because google/yahoo/reuters feeds are slow on local news wrt Canadian microcap companies - if you haven't already.

I'm going to have to look into AZC more closely this weekend.

I know it's been a while since Yow posted this originally, but the copper is still in the ground and it looks like the company is progressing.

I suspect there will be plenty of time to buy on dips though.
