Where do I go next? Where do I go next?

30 years old.
Degree in economics
Played poker full-time for early twenties
I then became a trader but feels like poker again, declining gains and edges. Feel it's time to get ready for the next move.
About a year of expenses in liquid form so no immediate rush.
No crypto unfortunately (or interest in it)

Currently I'm doing online courses in machine learning data analysis/analytics but I'm a long way away from being ready for a job in that area.

No "real job" experience. I was talking to a friend recently that has a great job in a tech company and she's spent the last 10 years doing presentations/meetings/hiring/managing/etc, while I've been just clicking buttons.
My other high earning friends all work in sales, but again, they've nearly ten years of experience in that field.

I'm sure I'm not the only person in this boat. I'm concerned about where I should go next especially since I'm getting to the years where my peak earning ability should be and it's not long until my age begins to count against me.

With a degree in economics, you can join a financial firm as an analyst (basically entry-level) where you will do a lot of work in Excel. If you learn programming and can automate workflow, you will be at a big advantage.

Your peak earning should be in your mid/late 50s.
