The person you sold it 2, well I would say he will make that back within a month.

Facebook is still amazing, just the old lazy ways do not work.

Gutted I missed out on the page
Thats actually a fair statement. I guess the price of these pages is subjective depending on what you think you can do with them!

my personal opinion is that I no longer am able to make money from these pages but I know for a fact that there are still people still cleaning up from them..

https://www.facebook.com/themillionairesportsbettor

this is the page i started in response to this thread a year ago (i'm not actually a millionaire but i do make about $200k a year sports betting). i've spent around $200 on ads and have spammed the page a bit.

430 bets in i think its showing a roi of 9% but i only calculate every 50 bets. ideas to make it more popular welcome.

what kind of residual income do you have coming in now from work you've done over a year ago and longer?

how many hours do you spend in this space now? It sounds like what you used to do isn't worth it at all, so i guess i'm more wondering if you spend time trying stuff out to find another niche?

No doubt it has gone down over the last year as expected.... Whereas I could get a few 100 sign ups a month 2 years ago, now I am lucky to get 15....

I am still making the same sort of money though. The retention rate on gamblers appears to be pretty good...

I am exploring other options outside of social media as we speak though

how do you motivate yourself for a 40k a year sales job if you're making 20k a month in residual income?

Solid question. Im in my early 20s and fresh out of uni so still hungry to become the next CEO of Microsoft etc.

I dont have anything else to do with my time at the moment until that next big idea comes along for me.

If your goal is really to be a tech entrepreneur, seems like you should be learning front-end web development in your spare time instead of an entry level 40k sales job?

Hi Ofa,

Just today reading the thread.

I am in the process of setting up a page myself. It's like the LAD Bible but it's much less open in the type of content I post. I post a certain type of thing.

Question.

I don't intend to create a website until I have 200k or so likes.

Then I intend to go the way of JOE or The LAD Bible and posting links to my website.

Do you think big money can be made this way? i.e 100k/200k a year?

I currently have 150 likes after 1 week without getting any friends to like my page. I liked a lot of pages and posted first with a funny comment.

Not to sound like a **** but you are about 5 years too late. If I knew how to get a 200k page now I would be a millionaire (As its almost impossible to get that size page anymore)...

If you can get a 200k page and can get reach of 10s of 1000s then you can still make outrageous money... But I am giving you like 10000/1 that you can get to that..

Facebook is a dead market IMO....

If facebook is dead, what platforms would you recommend?

It would appear that the majority of these big pages have moved their business into their web page.

I never really put much time into anything but Facebook but it looks like you can still make ok money on Twitter if you can build a page.

I don't really have a next move at the moment. I am just plugging away at my pages on Facebook trying to scrape the occasional sign up whilst claiming my monthly $$ from sign ups I have made in the past 4 years!

What do you think about creating niche related facebook groups and using their invite by E-mail function to invite a list of users insanely targeted towards your group's content and demographic?

Using the scraped emails of engaged users of other groups and pages?

Do you think that this is something that could be scaled?

I have 3k likes on my page now but struggling to get any more.

Mink_man. What is your page? what are you doing to get more?

Have you tried posting to groups or pages in your niche? and linking back to your page?

What level of quality is your page? is it all sell?? would someone visit it and gain anything? even something like you making jokes to add some laughter to their day? or better yet, solid betting advice or deals?

Adding users 1 by 1 could be time consuming. I think a much better option is to create a Fake Facebook account. Add a load of people who would be your target audience and then add them to the group that way....

I have a fake FB account with 1000+ football fans on it. I have started several groups by just inviting those people and watching the requests to join from their friends come in

I'm surprised how many peeps dont believe this dude, internet is a fountain of money, just have to take a punt, fair play to you.

Couple of questions buddy - how do you get videos on your page? it's always been a mystery to me, as to how i download vids from youtube/facebook etc.

Also what was your most successful ad campaign you've run? What was the messaging etc

Cheers

I don't believe a lot of what is posted here after reading it, seems like a lot of bull****, bravado and pretend ballerness but it intrigues me nonetheless .

But, I also know zero about this market so wtf do I know.

I do however have a friend who has 3.5m likes on his page - he isn't a big time celeb, he just makes silly videos.

If someone has this sort of reach, has little clue how to monetize it (he is attracting television type advertising but I don't think passive income) has an agent that might not know how to correctly monetize it - what is your advice on how he can monetize it, apart from making swanky videos for betting companies. Feel free to pm.

Life Hack about to come up..... Next time you see something you want to post from Youtube just change the URL to have SS infront of it IE youtube.com/xyz becomes ssyoutube.com/xyz

Download it to your laptop and upload.

5 Months ago I started a new page with a daily budget of €25. I upped/downed/changed this alot but that was about it.

To date I have 953 sign ups/515 depositers/ +€13,611

I have spent roughly €4,000 on that page.

I reckon those 515 depositors (Which is growing each day) will easily earn €40,000 a year.....

I just bought a house, a new Audi & booked my next trip to Vegas. I really don't care if 2 years on people still don't believe me.
After 2 years of NOT responding to PMS, not asking people for anything this would be the longest con in history if it was BS no?

Anyway.... Bit hard to advise without knowing the page. Feel free to pm me and ill post my thoughts without saying what the page is
03-06-2016 , 05:21 PM
Also. 2 Years on. I made nothing of that LAD page as predicted by a few of you It just ended up sucking up budget and not getting any sort of virality by itself.

OFA, what exactly is the benefit of putting 'ss' in from of the youtube url?

Btw, I am also in 'internet marketing' and find your posts seemingly legit. Forget the haters.
03-09-2016 , 04:15 AM
Not sure what you mean by benefits. The lad asked me how he could download youtube vids

Www.ssyoutube.com is a site that let's you download vids.

OFA, thank you for this large post - I have read through all pages and all the information you have provided has been invaluable to me.

I have a few questions (I currently have a full time job, but would like to get involved in AM soon, just doing all the research I can at the moment):

1. Say for example I tried to start a tipster page, and used Bet365 affiliate program; it seems that every man and his dog has an affiliate program with bet365 and every single possible customer will have an account already - how would you attract fresh meat that the new pages haven't already taken

2. If I started a tipster page from today or tomorrow from 0 likes, I see you say it would take up to 2 months before started seeing profits; would you recommend not using adverts until built up organic fan base?

3. You mention above about creating a fake page to add football fans too, doesn't Facebook prevent you from mass adding lots of people at once? Did you get much conversion from this to likes on your page?

Again, I appreciate all the responses you have given to other people so far
