two scenarios
1$ to 1.14$ = 14 cent profit
1.50$ to 1.71$ = 21 cent profit
How elastic are their sales is the question then, it's mostly cheap stuff so would demand drop off enough to push the equilibrium into a less profitable zone
my thesis was basically 1) the world is taking a breather from covid and whatever boost they got in people panic-prepping is slowing down for a year
2) their entire game is pushing small edges, real estate costs/locations and a large portion of their customer base are people similarly in love with cheap stuff, so a surge in prices is going to mess with their models a little and just 1 incident of sticker shock with a customer is prob gonna have them asking what it's selling for on walmart or amazon. a lot of their brand loyalty is tied in directly to prices. shrug.
gotta love them longterm but i thought it was a decent short candidate for 2021 only
