Feel like this is another buying opportunity either this afternoon and/or more selling on Monday. That said, I've already banked cheap long dated vxx calls if this thing gets out of control so my actual dip buying risk is somewhat limited. Plan to turn those in to free $8-10 wide spreads if we get another down day or two.

I'll be buying monthly spy/qqq calls and then if there's a bounce I'll be converting them in to spreads (at a nice discount). Mixing in some short put spreads (not comfortable with naked puts in this market). Hopefully rinse repeat. I've been playing for some vol to creep back in for the next few months while I still think the highs aren't in yet.

We're still sky high but I doubt we've seen the top this year. In a perfect world the market gets choppy on the way to new highs before a nasty down move around april/may. That's how I'm playing anyways. GL

Short term you might be right.

Gamma exposure to SPX options has flipped to near zero/ negative. So it's possible that selling will beget selling. I would be careful with any longs.

I bought the dip. I'm assuming the Fed and Trump will intervene over the weekend and squeeze all shorts into a super rocket launch higher over the next few weeks. We probably visit 3500 SPX.

Given my BA and TSLA short, I would like to be wrong on this though.

How much time do you guys spend researching what moves you make? I know there is money to be made if you know what you are doing, but for someone who is just trying to save a couple million bucks over the next 30 years since I own a small business, should I really be trying to buy stocks, puts or calls?

You look over on reddit message boards and a new investor would get the idea more people are making money than there is losing, but I have a feeling that might not be the case.

Letting it all run for now. Past couple times I've been slammed, but one time I gotta connect. Right?

If this is the move, my guess is 3200 at least by the end of the week.

Considering taking profits here, not sure if it's my emotions telling me just to lock in some easy profits though.

For now, I'm going to continue to let this run. Rare scenario where we could see a -7% or more kind of day. If we get under the initial corona virus scare/ Iran strike lows things could get real weird. That zero to negative Gamma exposure could really push this down. Most of the time this rallies though---I think?!?

Mother of God... Bloodbath incoming.

I want to buy SPY puts but it feels ultra FOMO spewy at this point. Maybe wait for a dead cat bounce? I don't know how this kind of reaction doesn't gap and go.

We don't hold the like 3224 level on ES, I'm selling even more. Got to be patient in this kind of situation.

There will be a lot of fomo on both sides. I'd expect chop today.

News going forward will be the big catalyst

Caveat that there is a constant upward force on the market with the repo

I'm leaning towards... see how price action develops - if the BTFD move keeps going and finishes strong, buy calls near close. If it takes a big dump though, puts. It's one thing to hear about new deaths in China. But new cases popping up in Europe... This could get ugly quick.

Likely going to be selling more on any rally after this little intraday downswing. Looking to pop through the Overnight lows and puke into the close. Very capped upside risk here after the bounce of VWAP.

Edit: Just sold some at 3244. DOubled position again.

Just put your spare money into a Vanguard Target Retirement fund and put your energy into your business, your family, and your life.

It is possible to make money trading, but the vast, vast majority of retail investors have no edge and underperform passive strategies.

Turned my VXX longs in to free call spreads ranging from april to june. Also turned GLD and TLT calls in to freeish spreads and took some profits. Doing some dip buying with short put spreads and long naked callsfor april. I don't mind es selling off another hundred so I can close some VXX winners out but I'll need to get back to 3350 by march exp. Only way to get punished now is sideways

finally some two sided action. enjoy

Flattened whole add from today at 3238.25.

Too short and need to reduce size for risk management.

So what you do is take the number and replace any tweet from anyone with that number. For example, the fraud Elon Musk tweeted this 4 years ago:
Code:
https://twitter.com/elonmusk/status/686279251293777920?lang=en

You use this url (or any other one) and replace the blue bit with the id from above, and it will take you to the right tweet. 1232071516659081217
