Re: 2019 Trading Thread

i have 2 24" screens i work on and a bigger one about two feet away to my left that i use as a tv.
i spend most of my time reading and only look at charts for maybe 5 minutes a day, so that's sufficient.

sometimes i could use another one for memes.

Re: 2019 Trading Thread

What software recommendations do ya'll have for noob traders?

FWIW, I have two 65in TVs next to one another and have room to add slightly smaller monitors above them.

It's about resolution not size, trading on a big TV is not going to be pleasant.

I am the pixel king, 12960*7680, equivalent to 12.5 4k monitors. Your eyes will adjust.

Everyone should exchange their multi-displays to 21:9 ultrawide monitors. Easier to control windows and aesthetically give your office a much cleaner look. I'll snap a pic later

I keep my resolution at 3840 x 2160 and my size of text/apps at 300%

So does everyone use an office? I can't imagine ever sitting at a desk again.

In this case, office means:

Desk
Chair
Laptop (dell xps 13)
Dock (dell tb16)
Monitor (LG 34" 21:9 ultrawide)
Wireless mouse and keyboard (cheap logitech)
Headphones (includes FiiO amp, AKG K7XX, and stand)

https://imgur.com/HnwyLLU

(not my setup, but you get the idea. Looks 10x better than 2-8 ****ty screens stacked together imho)

Curved 21:9s are the nuts, way better than any multimonitor. Sadly they're too big to travel with but whenever I'm settled for a couple of months I buy one.

I bet stormfront is easy to read on one of those.

Why would anyone read stormfront? Racists are as boring and maladjusted and dysfunctional as antifa losers.

Take your ball and go home, it's over. Unless you have a sweet trading monitor setup your wifemother set you up with?

Yep. The upper bound to usable screen size has been restricted by hardware not capable of displaying these millions of pixels at the required resolution/hertz. But now graphics cards, processor speeds, and connectivity have caught up making single giant displays possible (with an ultra portable laptop). I actually much prefer the above home setup to my office setup of dual 21" 16:10 monitors. I'm in excel and ppt 70% of my day though. Maybe trading setups need to be different, idk.

Bro, do we need to get politics in here to set the record straight with some quotes. You were an unabashed racist until you realized that it wasn't socially acceptable.

Tooth has Tom triggered out of whatever semblance of sanity he possessed. It's a really a work of art to see someone played like a fiddle.

Anyway, I would be in full support of perma-ban on Tom, if not for the fact that I prefer he spend his rage time on twoplustwo than throwing eggs at girls wearing trump jerseys for his "noble cause" (his words).

I can't think of a type of thug I'd rather cross paths with than one that is armed with eggs. It's like the dude that uses a taser to rob people. Please try to rob me one time.
