Decided to hop in and bought BKS at $5.15 today. Will sell when the mood strikes sometime before March 1st.

Rafiki,
Was looking at pulling the trigger on thcx to expand my holdings in this sector. Are you just looking to play a Quebec announcement or are you looking longer term.

And if you don't mind sharing, what about Tgif has you looking to acquire? Do you just expect good earnings next quarter?

@ jb, PRED ITUS short bias. Pretty sure ITUS has been manipulated in the past. PRED has the look of a pump bc it traded on thin volume everyday for a long time then high unusual vol comes in. OTC and not sure if shares though.

Getting prepped for earnings season again. What are you guys interested in targeting? NVDA and SHOP have had some nice swings to the upside on positive conference calls. I am considering shorting AAPL into earnings. Will be fun for certain.
Looking to flip (sell) BOIL @ ~$7 for another 15% swing trade.

Im unsure my exit strat on FNMA yet. Targeting $2.50-2.60 sell point for ~20% return

Probably adding to my AMZN position for earnings.

TGIF is the Nevada/California play. You'd be trading/investing in it if you believed that Sessions probably backs down from this mess he's created. Nevada is a red state but voted quite definitely for weed. So I'm looking for a bottom here in the fear-based pullback to start a core.

THCX is all based on the 108,000 KG target their most recent expansion plan gives them. Obviously on July 1 they aren't going to be able to provide that much. But there won't even be the distribution methods in place to distribute that much yet. But years 2-3 post legalization they have a real nice shot at hitting that 108,000 KG. If you're aiming at $1-2$ profit per gram your stock price is so many multiples above $4. THCX probably has the best shot at the Quebec contract. The CEO also has made some references to expansion outside of Quebec. Nobody knows what that means yet, but people are curious about this: http://highenergytrading.ltd/possibl...eaf-expansion/

May be nothing.

Oh **** just saw the NAFTA rumor. Well that explains a few things.

Gonna have a few trades turn on me I guess. I'd think getting to cash before official word is gonna matter. Or shorting some sectors.

Rooting for a 3-4 day correction across the board in marijuana. Sold most of my THC yesterday on the pop. Did not sell TGIF.

Given how much cash I have on the sidelines I'm really hoping for the "big one" here. Starting to place crash bids on my fav tickers.

Gonna try day trading pot stocks for the first time over several weeks. Went 3/3 today and I find the red days are probably the easiest. The idea that I could make $750-$1000 in 90 mins is sort of the lifestyle I could use this year.

Just gotta figure out the best way to sell. You guys day trading sell with stop limits, stop markets, or something else? I had a stop limit get jumped right over today, just curious what may be the easier play in highly liquid stuff. Always find my day trading exits clumsy. Never tried trailing stops tbh. Not used to timelines this short on trades.

Kind of like tech stocks were a bargain in late 1999.

This is usually how the end begins. Shorter time frames greatly increase fees relative to potential maximum edge. Risk whipsawing if you're not pretty bright and calm. Etc.

If you don't have an edge on selling it doesn't matter when you sell except for managing risk of ruin, and I assume you're not betting anywhere near your whole stack.

So where is your edge on selling? Expound it. What fundamentals? What technicals? What observations? What market conditions? If you don't have one then there's no point even thinking about it provided RoR is zero. That will seem very unorthodox to the anxiety-disorder trade management nannies, but it's a fact if you think about it.

I'm completely open to the idea that I can't beat the pot market. That said my entries of late have been brilliant, so I know my edge there is significant.

Exits is another story. Either way I'll log the trades diligently and not overtrade. I'll let you know how the first 20 go and ROI.

It wasn't my suggestion that you can't beat the pot market. You seem adept at picking and riding bubbles and turnarounds. Merely what your edge is/could be on picking the right time to sell. If you don't have one, then set a randomized alarm and sell when it dings.

If you're brilliant at entries, why not just sell when the answer to "would I buy to open a new position here" is "no", hold otherwise.

This has been the goto play since we bottomed back in 2009. Buying dips in uptrends is maybe the most foolproof method of investing. They MUST be in definable uptrends though. And of course if they dip too far the uptrend gets invalidated and need to be cut loose.

The problem of late is no dips or pullbacks of note. For the last year even the shallowest of dips have come roaring back. Of course when the next recession hits they will dip and not bounce back. at least immediately. But if the stock market does anything it is go up over the long term. When the downturn comes (and it will) it will eventually turn again into its uptrending self but there may be a few years of sideways/downwards pain.

sounds like a crackdown on unsolicited "fake news"? are they doing for society's good? or, did they fear litigation or losing traffic in the future?

had to cut off one of my best friends for his daily 10 questionable pro-trump "fake news" memes.. i would cut off a pro-hillary or social justice warrior type for the same behaviour.
