Then how about both you and baseball agree to not aids this thread up. Specially not this early. He may have started it, but you do have the power to finish it.

I think it would be cool to visit everyone's picks once a quarter, kind of see what's up. But honestly I hope it's more learning cool stuff that dick measuring. It's cool to see where people are invested. It's going to be a challenging year, be nice to gain some insights from each other.

It's not something I do as I like people to share, wrong or not, and I'm not that kind of person. Selectively mocking picks is ASAP17 and mrbaseball territory.

Any why would I criticize picks in this thread? It's a fun thread. It's mrbaseball who chose to be a douche, doing exactly what you're accusing me of doing and I haven't done. No one has to apologize but him.
I never mentioned you. Just a couple of stocks that have spiked so far this short 2 day year. But I apologize for sinking to your level. In fact I will be quite happy to never interact with you again. There is nothing to be gained by it.

Here's what you said, my two latest short recommendations, using my wording of "excellent shorts"?

They're up far less than AMD, so how does that even make sense unless it was an attack on me? You just pulled these out thin air? Way to be dishonest, dude. Passive aggression is the mark of a loser. I'll put you on ignore like ASAP17, I can't recall you ever posting a stock pick or a stock analysis in the trading thread, just noise about technical analysis and claims you've done really well trading commodities and a complete lack of ability to engage on any criticisms of technical analysis. Hot air, basically. Please don't follow me around like ASAP17 did when I put him on ignore for everyone's benefit because he was tarding things up.

Yeah a couple of you just do ignore and all will be good. It's gonna save you mad grief.

I like when all of you post tbh. Just not when you post at each other

I enjoy your posts man, we were clearly just having a laugh at my AMD pick (as you would hope in what's supposed to be a contest for fun). It's tough when you are banned from every other subforum and have nowhere better to be... .

So there appears to be 23 participants. I thought there was like 7 or I wouldn't have agreed to this mess. **** happens when you have a few too many beers.

I'm too lazy to confirm the prices that people put up so whatever they posted plays. For the rest, I will just go with the final after hours price on the night before. If you want to get exact price for you stocks then go for it. Some will be a little off but who gives a ****. I have about 15-30 mins a night to get the rest of the prices so feel free to post any of yours. If I have the players/ stocks right, it should look like this...

Now that the bets are in, why not put this in a stock tracking/contest site so we can see who's winning in real time? This is a mess right now.

Call it a handicap for the posters that aren't doing that well right now, we're only two days in.

Would be dope. We could also have 3-4 people with the account info, maybe lighten the work load.

No. That's just the pleasant feeling you are receiving in your brain because your shorts are too tight. Adjust them for a more sure check on reality.

More importantly, I have no idea how I'm doing and furthermore don't care at this point. I plan on checking at the end of each month. Anything more is a waste of time. Come December 31, 2018 I'll be lighting up a cigar in celebration of my winning picks.

But I am glad that you got out of the gate fast without stumbling.

I couldn't get the page to load to register for that Marketwatch link. I setup a league with another contest site and the ETF's are quirky with it. I think the best way to track it is with just a spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel. I have Open Office though and for some reason they make hoops to jump through to get quote data. So if anybody with Excel and any skills with it is willing to do this please do. If not that's fine and another alternative is we all just track our own performance and post it here ourselves quarterly or so or atleast halfway though the year maybe for fun.

I'll do the calculations for the final results at the end of the year. Possibly the 6 month mark too.

Why not do a google docs (google sheets specifically)? We use that for fantasy football.

Yeah that's the solution. You put security, Jan 1 price, current price on one tab (you can get current stock values directly in google sheets), then the portfolio list on another tab with the ten picks horizontally and the profit/loss.

Only thing I recommend is do a save of the file.

One of the fun parts of google sheets is people can write in it. It can be pretty fun to write little messages in a "notes" column. But it also means some people can edit stuff we need. So save a local copy before you post the link.

Or we can also message a password to people but that's less fun

I wouldn't and am not shorting it personally. You're investing in the vision of someone who will continue to be innovative and ahead of the "big players" in the car industry.

Here's a good article on why investors are shorting it:

Had no idea that was even possible - wow! With a little help from this website (https://business.tutsplus.com/tutori...ion--cms-28182), was able to get a little something started to get the ball rolling ...

Here's the link to the google sheet -> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Haven't done the fun part with the results just yet of adding in the actual results yet though - hope to maybe have more done in maybe a couple of hours? Am also watching SWAT right now

Also, some of the OTC stocks seem to not be showing up - the error message said to try entering 0 or 1 ... have no idea what these numbers are for because just copied the stuff from the website So will have to see if can get those to work as well?

Should i post the gmail address and password so everybody can fix the page if anyone would like to? It's a new account i set up just for the contest.

It really isn't that hard for people to just brag or whine about their silly entry into this contest.

Tooth has pretty much agreed by simply being in the general vicinity and by his very nature to police it for us. He can't help it, and it will save the rest of us from having to do the work.

The math in the spreadsheet is wrong on the short side. It show +% where it should show -% and visa versa. The long side looks correct.
