My irl holdings are considerably less risky than that portfolio. I've only got about 30% in XIV and 30% in PUTW right this minute. The short vol stuff is not at all suitable for a year-long buy and hold.

YUM is the most innovative company in 'murica, and by extension the world.

Also, SVXY is almost sexy.

Because amateur 2+2 investors think the rest of the market will catch up and surpass Tesla's advancements in technology and develop cheaper. It's a short sighted view of how investments work.

I wouldn't and am not shorting it personally. You're investing in the vision of someone who will continue to be innovative and ahead of the "big players" in the car industry.

They are up 1% and 2% since I recommended then, essentially even. With plenty of time to have gotten out at 8-10% profit on each one if you wanted to, or to have a 50% stop on.

They remain excellent year long shorts.

I guess if you're bad enough with numbers and logic to be a technical trader, 2% and 20% are basically the same thing?

Why the name calling? NFLX was at about 185 when you made your call that's more than 1-2% now that its over 200. You have been negative on it for much longer. I think ROKU is only up a couple of dollars with your call at around 54 so that's probably only 2-3%.

They could be great shorts for the year but like I said before when shorting into an uptrend you should wait for some kind of breakdown instead of stepping in front of a freight train. But to each his own. You shoulda entered this thing. Its only for fun. I guess you don't want to show an indisputable track record even if it is for ****s and giggles. I am sure you will use this contest to belittle others since it is what you do even though you aren't in it.

I personally wouldn't short anything in this market. There are easier ways to make money than spitting into the wind. But this is just a fun little contest that is unrealistic with no trading involved.

Huh? Netflix hit 200 for the first time yesterday unless you are talking about presplit prices years ago. So you shorted at 185 and then again at 200 this week? Hope it works out. I don't own it nor am I short it. I only remembered because of your typically hostile response when I questioned it. Netflix is ultra volatile so if it dumped and you got some momo it could be huge. Almost every uptrend that dips gets snap bought though for the last little while. Netflix ending the year plus or minus 100 wouldn't surprise me though with its volatility.

I'd go so far as to ask a mod to lock you out of here if that continues. Make some picks and post them if you want to play. But crapping on the people who bothered to post some is very poor form.

You have this backwards. mrbaseball was taking a swipe at me by having a go at my two short picks from the trading thread. I haven't criticized anyone's picks in this thread, or anyone's picks anywhere except for ribbing the Tesla longs, who are beyond ridiculous. It's not something I do as I like people to share, wrong or not, and I'm not that kind of person. Selectively mocking picks is ASAP17 and mrbaseball territory.

Any why would I criticize picks in this thread? It's a fun thread. It's mrbaseball who chose to be a douche, doing exactly what you're accusing me of doing and I haven't done. No one has to apologize but him.
