Hi, am in Canada not the UK - but am also outside the US And my broker has all the US stocks/ETFs listed in addition to all the Canadian stocks because they're so popular. Maybe there's brokers in the UK who have set things up in a similar fashion?

Hopefully someone who lives in the UK will stop by with a better answer! But in the meantime ...

The whole point is to make judge performance from the first of Jan to the 30th of Dec. Some of us like to put our bets in early.

I might change my picks on December 30th of this year for no reason at all.

It is never a good time for such a contest. Don't be silly in complaining about a silly contest.

GBTC @ 1400 now and dropping faster than a bitcoin HODL's self confidence. Had large unbacked premium on top of being tied to the world's worst asset.

Not sure if you know, but market watch allows free stock games. The downside is you have to create an account, but it wasn't too painful. I used my junk email account. The upside is it allows trading and margin, for better or worse.

I’m not doing any research (And anyone that does is just a fool.) That is a waste of not just my precious time and cognitive effort; it makes for a level of seriousness that detaches one from reality.

I will make ten stock picks, all long, base solely on the name of the stock acronym as it is listed on the NY Stock Exchange. I will use the old high school locker room cry: Eat My Shorts!, as the random way to pick the ten stocks based on the letters in each word – E, A, T, etc……(the last s is a placeholder) and my love for the three or four word acronym. For example, my first pick, E, will be EGO. See how easy this is. I just looked up the E starting names and picked it. I love EGO. No ****ing research or hand wringing or hand waving, charting, excel spreadsheets, or piss-ant excuses as to the why and how and what not of the pick. I’m just swinging my dick and knocking the stocks out of the Eat My Short(s) tree to get to ten. Suck it if you don’t like my method.

Based on the above my ten picks are: EGO, AXE, TOT,___MOD, YUM___SUN, HEP, OAK, RIO, TROX.
