You're looking a buyout rumors + short covering into earnings followed by ultra crap earnings. Crushed fish dreams in graphic form.

You just posted the response your looking for.
It wasn't your trading skill / hard work / research / or long term planning but pure and simply blind dumb luck.
take the money and run

PIP seems to have calmed down to slightly more reasonable trading volumes. Closed my shorts for now. Anyone seeing this getting hammered back down to 50c or lower?

Bought a bunch of shares in PULM (avg price $5.15) and TWLO (avg price $32.36).

Losses so far in PULM (closed $4.95) are more than my gains in TWLO (closed $32.81).

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Use the money to improve your quality of life. Get rid of that commute if you can.

I don't like house renting so much. Dealing with landlords, short leases, rent increases, renters move more frequently, restrictions on how you can use the property, renovations and upkeep falls behind because who wants to pay for them on a house you don't own, etc. YMMV if you find a really good situation, but to me its a lower QoL.

This. So get a modest house that improves your QoL by getting rid of the commute as much as possible (considering other factors too, of course).

And point 2 above: if you made a big score you are almost certainly trading too large. Remember you can be a great trader with a big edge, and still lose money if you consistently bet much more than the optimal Kelly bet.

Twice in three Fridays this is happening, a bit different today given the rest of the market is scorching but just wow.

Not sure there is a trade in here but worth noting implied volatility exploded this week in few of the bigger food staples names. Street betting some combination of GIS, K, HSY, MDLZ, KHC is going to be happening soon, anyone in on any of these/have thoughts?

I like the charts of GIS, K, and KHC the best. Would wait for breakout on KHC.

The really funny thing is they had a cover charge on New Year's Eve for VIP tables. I am not making that up.

Canadian MJ stocks have been hinting at another bull run.

I also continue to like education stocks for the long term. Going to be feeding my paycheque into picking up pieces of TWOU and LRN for my TFSA.

Also, CXW is a Trump-era beast. Thank you to whoever posted it after their massive drop months ago when Obama was talking about phasing out private prisons. Can't believe I ever thought the markets were efficient enough to price in Trump by December.

I'm long China via FXI call spreads, don't see anything stopping (even Trump rhetoric etc) a breakout into low $40s with what is happening globally. Their US exposed stocks are breaking out already so it's a nice bit of a catchup that is the expectation.

Still a net (paper) loser as PULM is currently trading at $4.41 for a big loser. But about 80% of my losses have been offset by gains on TWLO, which is currently trading at $34.83.
