started to play 3 years a go private cash games and was winning.
before 4 months i had 2 lossing months that everything went wrong' and from that on i am break even for the last two months.
really went to the tank about playing scared money but it isnt it.
my spots are usually ok.

you probably need more than a tip are you looking for coaching?

there's a load of good passive study available in the forums just from reading along, and various video coaching sites also

How many hours a week did you play poker?

around 25 hours

25 hrs per week, assuming 30 hands per hour, 52 weeks per year for 3 years is 117,000 hands, that is a large enough sample size to assume you are winning player, but it is also small enough of a sample, that you might have just been running good and not a winning player.

2 months under the same assumptions, is only 8,000 hands, not enough to know for certain if you are a losing player or a winning player that is running bad.

So the question you should ask yourself, has the game changed in the last four months? Did you lose a fish that was replaced by a better player? Did the other players improve?

Don't pay off big bets without the virtual nuts or close to it. Call with way fewer hands preflop, 3! most of the hands you are continuing with, toss all suited connectors and offsuit broadways, KJo, ATo, AJo, and worse suited broadways like QTs and KTs. Play pairs and setmine. Should see your winrate soar.

Success in poker has nothing to do with winning over any time frame (if you were a winner the past 5 years and now all of your opponents are better and you are not, what does it matter what your past results have been).

It is also not about making "good" decisions.

What's important is this - constantly improving your strategy (coaching, videos, books, articles, pio, etc), playing while you're feeling good mentally (well rested, etc), and playing your sessions with focus and doing your best in each hand/decision (0 or minimal distractions).

If you focus on those things and not results (OVER ANY TIME FRAME), you will probably do well.

Game selection is also a very important part of bankroll management.

I think most people know these things but focus completely or too much on results.

One of the biggest things
is playing when your are emotionally unstable/tired.

No amount of skill/coaching can help if you aren't physically/
mentally sharp going into games.

This can sneak up on you because your feedback mechanism
will also be affected. Making it look like bad luck/ running bad.

It only takes a few bad decisions to ruin your edge.

Actually mindset coaching is precisely focused on exactly this: how to execute what you understand to a very high standard in-game, and how to be conscious and collected enough to avoid tilt, whether hard tilt (sudden emotional reaction which causes us to spew or do something else sub-optimal) or soft tilt (drift, loss of focus, boredom, feeling "over it". I coach mindset as an entirely separate matter from my strategy coaching, and have plenty of students who have come on leaps and bounds as a result. I would certainly say many poker players have half their leaks in this area, and it's often one not studied or worked on actively.
