Hi all,

As there are no reviews on Max Value's (https://max-value.com/) poker coaching course. I would like to put this message here to warn new players about their programs.

The first program is the Blueprint:

The Blueprint is awfully overpriced for the value they deliver. The price is $497. They allow partial payments with 6x 97. I misread here and they actually take an extra 20% by asking for 6 installments instead of 5.

In the blueprint they offer some short video's to give players some rules to think about. However they don't deliver much context, hand examples or a deeper analysis on why. Also, there is no forum where you can post questions on the material they offer. For beginning players this is awful! Furthermore - the site seems very buggy. Some buttons don't work and lead to nothing.

A plus is that they intended to create easy to understand animations for a pleasant experience. This however was their downfall as it was made too simplistic.

The second program is Elevate:

Elevate is a 300 dollar monthly subscription where players can join weekly webinars. In their podcasts they also promote their program with a set of tools - free to use. They do not provide these tools for free. Also their weekly webinar was not weekly when I signed up. There was a week with nothing at all.

This program had a good initiation with a welcome call and some tips. They offer a lot of videos in their archive - they are however not categorised and not easy to search through.

Also, Discord is popular these days to talk about poker and share thoughts. Max Value has a discord channel with private area's but it's not that active. Both programs also seem to focus on GTO instead of exploiting certain opponents on certain levels.

Looking back - over 8 months later.

I hardly rewatch their videos as a lot of free content seems better (youtube, rye etc). The concepts explained by others than Max value helped me much more throughout the year and I've seem to won way more over a lot of tournaments. I usually review older videos to keep the fundamentals in but the blueprint unfortunately was not the one I thought of.

I decided to contact them about this but they don't have a customer satisfaction garantee when I asked for a refund and they do not seem to care.

With this message I hope to warn poker players who want to improve. Beware of programs who focus on making money. Max Value is not the program you need. There are cheaper and better options. So be careful before you signup and look around first I hope this helps those who search the internet for reviews.

I'm not familiar with the course, but how long did you subscribe to the Elevate program and when did you purchase Blueprint?

You mention asking for a refund 8 months later, but it's not clear to me what you were asking to refund and the timelines of said purchases/subscriptions. Cheers

Hi thanks for the reply.

I bought it the blueprint in november 2019 and signed up for elevate in feb 2020. It was recommended by someone at pocarr who reviewed my application and thought that if a well establised stable recommends the course then it should be good. I only had the elevate for 1 month as the value didnt add up to the price. The elevate program had nice live webinars though where u can add your own hands and questions! But it was not consistent in the scheduling and also the free tools which are mentioned in podcasts werent for free. Other coaching sites offer webinars as well but with a higher value for price.

I've bought other courses from tpe, pokercoaching, rio, alexander fitzgerald to compare and had watched those more often and found their videos added more value 'to me'.

It's important to notice that this was for my situation as a lowstakes player wanting to climb to mid stakes.

It could be a mismatch for me alone but sometimes it's good to give feedback for the poker community to not fall in certain traps and get caught by some salespitches these thoughts came back a few times so that is why i wanted to share. New and old players seek riches and some really want to learn. For those players i believe we need to create good quality programs and share the knowledge we have.
