For the longest time i would overextend my bankroll. I used to have a big ego because i have been fairly successful, but after 4 years i still didnt fulfill my dream of becoming a professional poker player.

I said what am i doing wrong these people cant be that much better than me. I have read over 50 poker books, i have played thousand of live and online poker, i have sat in a room dealing out hands and recording stats. What was i doing wrong?

It was simple i had an ego and no bankroll management. Once i dropped my ego and realized at anytime a donkey could have me beat and i needed to respect him my game grew. Then when i read Chris ferguson bankroll managment peace on fulltiltpoker.com it all changed.

This is what i did. i deposited 100 dollars on fulltilt then i sent my wife 15.00.

That left me 85.00. I never over extended my bankroll and played deciplined and patient i now have a bankroll over 12k.

You can do it too.

I am ducksss_wild on fulltilt. Hit me up for advice or just to chat

Your wife is just worth $15.- to you???

If you read more the 50 poker books and went over and over abput your leaks and hands and record stats, you surely must have come across the subject of ego.

I sent ny wife 15 bucks because she already had like 50 on there. The point of the story is the importance of bankroll management.

If you've been following proper bankroll management techniques, then why do I have pt stats on you for 10/20 nl when your bankroll is only 12K?

Thats not the point. Look my wife plays online too. so i told her i would send her some money.

Its really not that big of a deal. OK heres how u do it.

Never buy into any cash game or single table sit and go with more than 5% of your bankroll.

Never buy into and multi table tourney with more than 2% of your bankroll.

If at any time you have 10% of your bankroll on the table you must leave when the blinds come around to you.

Thats pretty much the strategie.

Ok i used this strategie at the beggining.

I take shots at bigger games. I also played 25-50. If i didnt crush the games everynite i wouldnt play in them. I won 1800 tonite playing 5-10. Check me out i am there everynite.

If i take a shot and lose i drop down limits. I never sit with all my money on one table.
