This is actually my first post here so I will try not to mess it up to bad. Though this post doesn't really belong in the coaching advice section, I couldn't find a better place for this post so that is why I am posting this here. I don't want this post to end up being a bad beat mixtape so i'll try to keep my hand analysis to a minimum throughout this post. Though I wouldn't be opposed to showing a graph of hands if someone would be willing to tell me how.

Swings are inevitably apart of poker and are obviously quite necessary. Without swings, none of the so called fish would even bother playing. Lately, I have just been struggling to handle these swings. Obviously, bad beats happen to everyone and is a part of the game. I can handle a few bad beats but struggle when multiple happen within a short period of time. I know at the poker table, we are supposed to stray away from having/showing emotion at the poker table. However, I have found it increasing difficult to withstand the emotion that comes to losing several buyins while making positive ev plays.

I am currently trying to build my rolls on several different sites but can't seem to find even moderate success on any of them. Once things seem to be going in a positive direction for me, several bad beats end up depleting my bankroll and I am all the way back to square one. It is like my opponents hitting 1,2, or 4 outers on me as become the norm instead of happening a relatively small percentage of the time.

This post isn't about proving or stating how bad I run; rather, any help or any tips on how to improve br management, avoiding tilt, or help in any other area would be awesome. I have read several books and articles on these subjects but can't seem to improve. Any help in any area would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Therapy, my friend. Most if not all of the things u are struggling with could be solved with therapy. There are reasons for which you act in certain ways in certain situations. Find those out and solve them and it should get way better. It is a long term project tho, but idk any other way out. GL.

Mental things are a huge part of poker. Sometimes, the gameniant worth the mental gruel. Golden years poker was 2006 to 2011...tougher now by far

what games are you playing?

try to focus one game type and on a small number of sites whilst you are building your roll and plugging leaks.

swings are inevitable but winrate dampens variance. if you are experiencing swings it much more likely you are a break-even player going through the normal swings your skill level can expect than you are a solid winner running bad.

assuming you are the former is a much better mindset as it motivates improvement rather than blaming something outside of your control
