Them endorsing JH is probably the biggest motivating factor for the coachees to get coached by him.
why would they be suing stox? Stox didnt have anything to do w/ the fact that jason stole their money. the students were the ones that decided to invest in the plo fund, stox had nothing to do w/ that

I don't even know what to say. I'm astounded. How can a guy collect this much money for coaching without any real verifiable results? "Yay, you make stox videos, here's 10k." WTF? After looking at his blog and those youtube videos, I REALLY don't get it. Jason Ho may or may not be good at poker, but clearly he is good at something. yeesh

i *think* these are the lines that got him banned:

Quote:
I am mounting my defense in the right way to try and find a resolution.

Also I let another cat out the bag since everyone loves drama.

1 of the accusers actually broke the law of his own country. If I disclose this info I can take him down but I guess I am too nice to resort to these sort of tactics. (So to judge me from the accusations without also diving into the criminal records and other personal history of those which accuse me is biased on opinion)
within 15 minutes of posting that he was accused by a poster of resorting to 'tricks and blackmail'......30 minutes later he was banned.

Would be nice if someone could copy/paste JH's posts (those that address / reply to these allegations) from the stox forums...

Who cares how he got his money? The main fact is he was losing it. This is good for the poker economy.

If he can turn a few marginally winning players into losing players this is also good for the poker economy. its hard enough to make money as it is without removing Jason Ho form the poker games.

Its not like he was taking money from people and using it to buy stuff.

Poker is about taking advantage of th weak. Jason took advantage of players weaker than him and in turn, on the tables, he was taken advantage of. Thats poker. Any professional player who speaks out against Jason is a hypocrite.
A+, Sir.

Could not have said it better myself.

this is one of his PLO graphs posted on stox. guess this is the infamous 70k month at PLO 25/50.

so is this supposed to be like his biggest and best graph he used to lure ppl in?

if this is what brought ppl in i have a hard time feeling sorry for anyone involved. if its way more complicated then obv i could understand but it sounds like no one really did their homework on this guy including STOX which is just disgusting. ppl need to think logically and use common sense before just throwing money at any semi-random person that asks for it.

this is so ridiculous i don't know if it's a joke or not.

the last line is classic:

"so dudes, after you've got all your cool sht on, then maybe you too also can raise with 72 SUITED against a big stack on the final table and ship it and get him to fold like i do."

i am speechless.

come on guys, this is evidence of nothing; these videos are obviously just a joke and should not be used to determine the worth of Jason Ho's coaching. As this whole situation has panned out its looking more and more like the coaching component of the complaint is irrelevant, it seems that this is really just a staking deal gone horribly bad.

You seem to be missing the entire point over and over again for some reason.

Regarding your comment about naivity, people who have been scammed generally tend to feel naiv and easily fooled, this is what happens when someone fools you, you feel ashamed and stupid and taken advantage of. Thanks kindly for yet again pointing that out.

Regarding Jasons coaching, perhaps you havent read or seen the original post on 2p2 which has been removed or you havent read the thread on Stox, if not Id be happy to repost points which deal with Jasons poor coaching. Id love to hear your arguments against them.

No. It was a complete scam. Jason Ho is a con artist and a losing poker player. He managed to con 6-figure sums from small-mid stakes players just by pretending he's a math-oriented poker millionaire. It's quite impressive, actually, if you think about it.

The thread at stoxpoker, along with Jason's own replies confirm 100% that this was all a scam.

I see he does what he's good at, and personally I don't see anything wrong with it. I can't perform any sort of con myself but I do respect a man who has a talent and dedication for doing it.

However, I'm disappointed with Stoxpoker owners/management who took this guy under their wings and let him operate under their supervision. They should have been more observant.

So many wtfs in this thread.

wtf at leatherass knowing but just ignoring the situation.

wtf at girlfriends giving advice on coaching deals.

wtf at the document solving GTO deep stack NLHE.

wtf at getting coached by someone whose videos allegedly suck (though I've never seen a Stox video, that would be the last training site I'd join)

wtf at letting your coach play on your account and lose 30 BI+.

i ABSOLUTELY HATE leatherass the more i hear about him. seems right on track w/ everything i know about him already that he is very suspicious of the guy but since he avoided getting scammed himself he just ignores it now that the only person he cares about, himself, is out of harms way. then he has the nerve to post a blog basically rubbing it in everyone's face that he figured it out and avoided being scammed yet did nothing to prevent it. LA is just so arrogant and disgusting of a human being i wish nothing good in life for him.

i would say the coaching aspect is a major reason for the complaints brought by these group of poker players.

they claim jason ho has been masking as a high stakes poker player when he can't even beat 1/2. (results prove it) THUS, his coaching was a scam, as well as his PLO fund.

there is no way this is just a staking deal gone wrong.
