As I think I was the 1st slot that filled up here, I'll go ahead and write the first review:

For my person, I'm a pro since a couple of years (mainly Party NL 2/4 6m.) and have worked with various coaches. Lately my game got a bit crumbly and I decided to "hire" guy for a brush up.

So far we had 2 sessions, which actually ended up being double sessions, because of all the stuff we had to go through.
1st session was a discussion of a 30 minutes Video I sent him. Actually I thought the hands were pretty trivial, but we ended up discussing like 20 interesting spots and I have the feeling that in this session alone I fixed some minor leaks and one bigger issue.
As I'm an experienced student, it didn't take me long to notice that Guy just knows his stuff.
He has a good grasp of basic and advanced concepts.
He is not only concerned that you make the right play, but also that you do it for the right reason, which is pretty important IMO.

In the 2nd session we went over a couple of hands I gathered and again I earned a lot of insight.

In the short periode we were working, he was very available and flexible in arranging our meetings. He is in the solid, tight agreesive camp, which also fits my needs.

I feel I gained a lot of confidence from our discussions and I already decided to book further lessons.
Obv. I can't present results yet.

Bottom line: I can only recommend Guy as a coach.

I have played alot with Guy and we discuss hands on a regular basis. His results pretty much speak for themself but I would still like to give my recommendations to bwd..since I know some poker coaches who aren't that great really..

He is constantly looking for ways to improve and has worked a lot on his game, while already being one of the best Crypto msnl regs. I myself have benefited a great deal from our discussions (as did he, lol) and I feel that he will be a good teacher

I've had 2 double sessions so far with bwd and I have to say it's been going great. At first, i wasn't sure his method of watching me play in a video + discussing in a chat based enviroment was the best choice, since most of the coaching sessions i've had before this were skype+some sort of live sweating, but it's proven way more effective than those so far (I have the whole discussion log for later review plus i was able to think the hands through with enough time to realize what the best course of action was ).
I have to quote Herrigel on this, since this is one of the most important things a coach should do with his students and he's doing it 100% of the time we discuss hands: " He is not only concerned that you make the right play, but also that you do it for the right reason"

One important thing that made me chose bwd as my coach was the fact we played in the same games/stakes and i always considered him as being a top 3 regular and the opportunity to be coached by him was too good to be passed on.

I have played bwd a lot on crypto (I am JensLE), and have also discussed a lot of hands with him over msn. I have a great deal of respect for his game, the reason why should be evident from his posted winnings.

I think Bwd would be a great coach, not only because he plays really well, but because he is constantly thinking about the game in an analytical way, always trying to put people on very specific ranges etc. In other words, I think he is pretty experienced in explaining why he is doing what he is doing, whereas a lot of other winning players play really well too but have a harder time explaining what they do.

I have gone through about 8 sessions with BWD and so far they have been good.

The main things that stuck out to me about our sessions was the 3b/4b lessons. After he taught me some pretty good general guidelines, as we went over which strategy to employ vs which opponents, and then obviously things will change as you get more reads. Since in poker everything depends, it was really great to have him give the basic outlines and then help me forumlate the process to adapt it to all situations.

He also helped clear a lot of soft leaks that were easy to spot in a sweating session. I think those are a good way to help your game since it allows you to focus on the bigger leaks rather than simple things that you aren't sure about.

So after learning the 4b guidelines and trying them out, I was able to come back with questions to how I may be applying it incorrectly or why I am having trouble. I found this to be more beneficial, after the combination of his guidelines and reaffirmation of thought process I feel much much more comfortable playing that aggressive preflop game.

Only thing I had a problem with was setting up times since our time zones were opposite, but I believe if you are a good student bwd will be able to help you become a better player.

By good student I mean a player who also seeks to become better, I feel you cannot just accept what the coach has to say but also need to come up with questions. BWD coaching style facilitates this process by being interactive and questioning what may be the correct play / range before just giving it to you. Thereby he can see your thought process and correct your false logic. I am suggesting that you accommodate his coaching style by truly conveying what you think is the correct range/play rather than saying I don't know, as it will benefit you after BWD explains the correct reasoning.

The right thing to do BWD yet even more commendable would have been to just post your understanding and generosity of providing a refund. There is no need to defend yourself or humiliate another person.

OK Like I've said sorry for causing any confusion I've now received my money back and he handled it in a professional manner. If I look for coaching in the future I would definitely consider this guy again.

I just finished up the last of my first 5 sessions with Guy. I'm already looking to book more in the near future.

First of all Guy is very easy going and a pleasure to work with. It's very easy to talk to him and really discuss things with him. You aren't just listening, you are an active participant in a dialog about poker. He clearly knows the fundamentals very well and has an advanced grasp of 6max NLHE. He has been able to quickly analyze hands I submitted as played as well as respond to my thoughts on and suggest alternate lines. He communicates concepts clearly and concisely. I feel like I got top notch analysis and am looking forward to applying these concepts to my game.

But what I think is by far the best thing about Guy and his approach to coaching and his students goes beyond just his knowledge of the game and how easily he conveys it. His biggest strength is that he probes your current thought process to find where you are thinking about things incorrectly. Most coaches can tell you what to do with TPTK on a specific board against a particular opponent, but what Guy does is find out why you did what you did and then explains why you should use another line and the things that you should take into account before considering alternate lines.

Bottom line is that Guy is an excellent coach and I look forward to continuing our work together.

I have had 4 hours coaching from BWD. The video analysis and discussion was a good place to start and he corrected a couple of major leaks in my game.
We then went on and had a good discussion on 3/4 betting strategy in which he again fixed some leaks and gave me a better understanding of how to approach these hands.
All in all I think hiring guy as a coach will prove to be +ev
