so this cool hand happened while playing live poker. obiously i was playing with perhaps the stupidest people on earth...anyways heres the situation
(hero) KK on the button
(victum)QQ small blind

blinds are 1-3 300 max

preflop 3 ppl limp before (hero)(kk) raises to 20, (victum)(QQ) re raises to 40 hero calls everyone fold hero calls.

flop comes
A,5,K with no flush draws, victum(QQ) leads out and bets 60 hero(KK) snap calls. a 4 comes out on the turn victum leads out again and bets 75, hero snap calls tiver come and its a queen and victum bets another 50 leaving him with 40. hero calls

ppl were saying hero should have reraised on the flop, or shouldnt he have just keep calling down the sucker for betting his queens the way he did?
plus when ur unsure isnt it always good to just call or check the river?

Well I would've 4bet the nuisance minraise preflop for sure, but otherwise I wouldn't say you played it too bad. There's some straight possibilities, not that I think 23 or JT would've been played like that, but given that you smooth called preflop, you don't necessarily have AA ruled out yet, and if they have any other hand, they're probably dead, and the AK flop can understandably be pretty intimidating so I think once you made the call preflop (instead of raising) it's a good way to go. But yeah I know what you mean about being uncertain, there was this one time this other guy and I were both really deep, I had KK and was 4bet or 5bet or something like that, and this guy was playing tight and solid. I called in position because I was seriously worried he had AA, flop was AK something, he continued and I called, turn was a J, he bet a little more here, I just called and the river was a Q or T, something to put 4 card straight out there, he made a small value bet and I just called, but all he had was JJ. I should've raised the turn but meh, I guess I was having a nit moment there.

Don't assume this by playing one hand against someone, esp when you fail to grasp concepts such as correct spelling and grammar.
You should have more luck in getting responses by posting in one of the live poker or cash game sub forms.

^^Dont be rude!

Hey man i like how you played it preflop...and post flop actually.. i actually think you played the hand how i would have except on the river i would have shoved. But if you want to play it safe.. you played the hand great! He limped, then re raised preflop... a lot of people do that crap with AA, so i guess that is the only hand that beats you...BUT... i def. dont think he does takes that line with JT ... if i am you and im thinking about this on the river, im thinking.. AK or AQ... IF he has AA then its a cooler, nothing you can do. I like how you played the and except river

I would agree with you through the duration of the hand up until the turn. His 75 bet screams of weakness. He seems to try a blocker bet imo. I would of raised to see exactly where I was because up to then I would be putting him on AK until his turn bet. He then proceeds a thin value bet (so he thinks) but you really cant leave that dead money behind in his stack, jam for the rest and Im sure 80% of the time you get paid off. I would say you completely screwed it up though.

you should have gone broke on the river or maybe raised a little more depends on the player profile

Why didn't you shove the river? Could you really put him on JT? lol
