Because of the new Coaching/Training forum rules, the thread in which son101 promised to refund money for services not performed has been removed. I know there were many students that claimed they had a refund coming, so I asked permission to start this thread.

I paid $300 for a package which was to include 8 videos and 1 sweat session. I only ever received 4 videos and no sweat session. Through PM, I suggested that a $200 refund sounded fair, to which Sonny agreed. That was about 7 weeks ago. Since then, as far as I know, he has not been in contact with any of those that have a refund coming. As a rough guess, I think there was 10-20 people that had money coming.

If you are owed money from this coach, please chime in here so this issue doesn't get swept under the rug.

I also didn't receive all of the vids. I have no issue with a partial refund or even the rest of the vids if they are done as he had stated a few times.

Have a feeling this tread could get long.

I signed up for the bootcamp. It was supposed to be 3 sessions coached by 2 solid MSNL Coaches Son101 and Jballer88. Session one started over an hour late due to some technical issues but it turned out ok although the content was VERY basic. Session two was very short and Jballer88 was a no-show... Session three, this time sunny was a no show... Apparently he was traveling and had a slow internet connection so he couldn't make it to the session.

Sessions 2 and 3 had some valuable information but each one lacked the 2 coach approach that was advertised and was the reason I chose this package. Everything about the program was very unorganized.

So I asked for a half refund. Sonny never responded.

I'm in the same boat as you OP, $300 package, although i got my sweat session. I haven't been able to reach him on skype and I'm waiting on balugawhale/jballer88 who I PMed in an attempt to get contact info.

PM to Sonny never got a reply, I assume his box is full and he hasn't been on 2p2 in ages.

Really frustrating b/c the only reason I signed up was for the 200/400nl vids and all I got was abc 50-100nl stuff, two of which were released free anyways...

I read the old thread before it got deleted. Pretty sure Baluga coached son101 and said he had a great poker mind or something like, which is most likely true whether he is scammer or not, from what I heard he was good at poker for the stakes he coached.

While I understand that people scammed would want to find a way to reach son101 and ask Baluga for contact info, It sucks for Baluga to be recieving a bunch of PM's or emails about something he has had no part in.

I signed up for the bootcamp as well. The only session I got to attend was the first one and it was very basic. The second session was full and I was unable to get in with everyone else. The 3rd session I was unable to attend. Sonny told me we be able to work something out, but as you can see...

Baluga should NOT be held responsible for this. Son101 was just his student. Baluga only said he was good at poker, he never said anything about son101's honesty.

this is ridiculous, i know that is not fault of baluga, but when he post in his coaching thread is for given him support and credibility...

i guess this is too bad for baluga proyect anyway, hope the people get back his money

To clarify, I'm not holding baluga or anyone else responsible for son101's actions, I just used them as an attempt to contact him since I felt they were the closest to him on this forum. I think it's noteworthy that jballer88 says he has sonny's phone number, but it seems like he hasn't been able to reach him there.

If you have payed VIA Paypal you can do a chargeback and/or request a partial refund. However you only have 3 months since the money was sent to do this.

I also payed for the vids and the sweat. Got 4 vids and no sweat. On March 22 Son messaged me on Skype that he had no time to do the sweat and that he would give me some sort of refund. I messaged him back the next day and haven't heard from him since.

This situation must be serious since you waited almost 4 yrs to make this your first post....

hey guys, this isnt the program sonny did with me, this is the previous program. like balugawhale said, ive tried contacting him, texted him yesterday, didnt get any answer. im really sorry for anyone who lost out like this, but my only relation to sonny was the bootcamp we ran. i did not know him prior to this, and didnt really talk to him much after.

i have sonnys number, and i will text him tomorrow with an ultimatum, that he must resolve these issues, or at least begin the process tomorrow, or else i will give out his number, and whatever personal info i have on him, and let you guys do what you want with that.

I also got the video package, a long time ago. I did get my sweat, and i must say im totally shocked to hear that Sonny mistreated this many people.

I thought he was a cool down-to-earth guy who had a great mind for analysing poker. I was often on his private Ventrilo just talking to him about everything that came up, and i must admit i never expected anything like this.

I do know that he feels burnt out from poker and wants poker to take up much less of his life, but to simply disappear and not offer anyone any sort of refund seems beside him.

Did you receive 8 videos? I kinda got the impression that the later ones didn't exist because so many people got the first set but not the second.

Thanks to jballer and Baluga for speaking up here. I thinks it's good to clear your own name and disassociate yourselves from this matter and any info that you were/are able to give is appreciated.

ok so although i originally didnt want to pm his phone number to barewire, im willing to give it out now that i see how many people have been affected by sonny. i dont think posting it in this thread would be right however, so whoever is owed by sonny can PM me for it. I dont even remember his email, i really only have his name, phone number and aim.

again, sorry guys about your dealings with sonny, but i would like to be separated from this whole mess. my only dealings with sonny involved the ssnl bootcamp, i didnt know him before that, and have talked to him maybe twice since, and have tried contacting him multiple times regarding people he owes, never getting a response.

It pales in comparison to the folks who paid for coaching, etc., but I paid him for 3 vids and only received 2.

Maybe he's a really good actor or something, but I got the impression that he really meant to send me all 3, but just flaked out when he kept saying he'd send me the 3rd one the next time he was home/near his own laptop/whatever. It still seems weird that he'd purposefully rip people off.
