Milking wisdom from the tree of 6-max Milking wisdom from the tree of 6-max

We live and play in a zeitgeist of shorthanded games.

This is reflected in training sites, legitimate coaches, videos and current publications. Unfortunately, the swing of the pendulum has left people like me who play full-ring hard up for material. As such I would like to start a dialog or "thread" about how to effectively and efficiently extract information from shorthanded curricula and apply it to full ring.

We could start anywhere with anything, but for the sake of argument, let us begin by discussing how to watch 6-max videos and apply the pearls of wisdom to full-ring play.

Being the novice here, I shall leave this thread open to the guidance and direction of those more experienced.

Thoughts?

I wouldn't bother, I've found milking a tree to be unpossible.

You should probably post this in one of the full ring forums, so you'll get more responses from people who actually play FR.

Also, not sure if I agree with the use of the word zeitgeist here.

I meant no limit. And from the source of all wisdom, Wiki:
Quote:
The word zeitgeist describes the intellectual, cultural, ethical and political climate, ambience and morals of an era or also a trend.
I'm actually serious. I'm frustrated playing full-ring where everything on the Internet training sites is dedicated to 6-max, HU and now Omaha, with a fair representation of SNG and MTT.

If I have to learn full-ring from 6-max videos, I'd like to do it intelligently, through the prism of someone with expertise in both. I know there are many reading this who fit the bill of having mastered both and I could use some help. Let us please take a shot at making this a useful thread.

Thanks.

BigPoppa, thanks for taking the time to reply. You may be right about posting elsewhere and I did think about it. It was a coin-flip but I wanted to find the least-trolled appropriate forum. I spent three minutes on the Mid-High Full-Ring NLHE forum and came here.

Oh well.
