Trying to get more into the HU streets. Making the jump from 6 max.
Literally only thing I've done is simplify my ranges. I'm not mixing anything. Well, kinda. I'm playing a pure strat everywhere except Ill 4b 25% of the offsuit bw combos. This should be simple enough.
Prioritizing getting frequencies right first. Limiting decision fatigue as much as possible.
I've been really surprised at how simple HU ranges could be. Feels nicer than 6m since it's less formations.
What's next?:
Gonna run the ranges I created in a trainer for the next couple days.
Strategy Construction:
Looking at flop aggregates to make heuristics. Will prob only use a 1 size strategy on flop. b30 or b67, depending on texture. Will evaluate if splitting on some boards is necessary. Leaning towards using b67/b125 sizes on turn. And splitting into 3 sizes on river (only 2 when IP).
Where to start?:
I've heard that 654 type boards are non intuitive to 6max players bc the aggressor isn't at such a disadvantage. So I'll prob start there.
Does anyone have any spots they recommend taking a look at?
For 6 max I'd tell someone learning the game to look at 983tt, AK4tt to learn overbetting concepts. Or K72r to learn about range betting. T73tt to learn about b67. etc.
Questions for HU regs:
How many sizes do you have on each street? Better to split multiple sizes like 1-2-3 or keeping it simple with something like a 1-1-2?
I'd love to pick someone's brain about how they go about developing HU strat before. hmu if you'd be interested in studying together or doing a 10k hand challenge.
