Hello,

My name is Christopher Sykes, and I am a consultant working for the production company Eyesteel Films out of Montreal, Canada. We are doing an hour-long documentary on youth gambling, with a concentration upon online poker. The film is being produced by Oscar nominee Sally Bochner and Tamara Lynch, and directed by multi-award winner Laura Turek. Filming is slated to begin late summer of 2008.

I am searching for people with contacts inside the Canadian poker community, and specifically for a professional Canadian poker coach or game doctor who is/has worked with teen poker players keen on improving their game.

If you have contacts in this field, please don't hesitate to IM me. We are searching for new interviewees and any help would be of great assistance. All questions or queries will be promptly answered.

are you guys gonna spin this doc into "OMG ONLINE POKER IS WRECKING THE LIVES OF TEENS AROUND THE WORLD" because no one here is going to be too responsive to that type of thing, which is what generally happens these days

No, they certainly would not. This is why I am looking for subjects on 2+2 and not in a halfway house.

You are welcome to read my other posts to get a better idea of the project.

I've read your other posts and have the same reservations Steve does.

That being said, I have no problem with online poker's inevitable death being sped up if I'm made famous in the form of a 1-hour Canadian documentary.

I coach 6-max full-time (dedicate ~25 hrs/week) after having played professionally full-time for the last 18 months.

I'm 20 years old and have been to Canada before.

Holla

Mt Tremblant, Montreal specifically if that helps.

I broke my wrist there and have yet to be compensated by your people.

I am also photogenic but not too sexy to distract viewers.

Yes, I'm sure this is obviously going to be a positive view of the industry.

"Youth gambling, give it a try, you could become a millionaire overnight", that sort of angle, amirite? Am I?

I sure hope you don't find anybody. Don't need poker painted in this negative light.
