Re: doughnutz ?!

I have never lost a single session of poker in a game I was rolled for, and have never won consecutive sessions in a game I was underrolled for. Discuss.

Go back and read his response to affleck. And then read his init posta gain. Personally I don't think he's attacking you like you do. Truly. I understand though because yes, bob has trolled some and what he said could be taken the wrong way. But really, I think you're missing his point here.

Are you really this much of an ******* bob? Misrepresenting what someone says for god knows what reason? Is your dick really so small that this bullsh it is what you need to do to get off?

Everyone else: Is this really the kind of garbage we want in this forum? Don't humor this as shole.

I obviously take this seriously. When someone so obviously distorts what I said and then uses that against stoxpoker it puts me over the edge. Some people think they can say anything just because this is an internet forum. Say things they'd never have the balls to say to someone's face. Well, Pokerbob, I carry a grudge like you wouldn't believe. At some point I hope I have the pleasure of meeting you face to face.
glad i brought it up

i think doughnutz plays pretty fine solid poker in his videos, but has serious tiltproblems when grinding of the camera from time to time which at a .5/100BB winrate or whatever he has can seriously destroy a positive bottomline over a large sample of hands

i conclude this from hands i have seen on pokerhands.org where villains post quite horrible beats doughnutz delivered

just the above quote shows tilt is in the air

No man. Take his post and put it up right next to the initial post I made. The guy just flat out lies about what I said. The fact that people I respect like you and tryp seem to think his post wasn't out of line is exactly what makes his distortions so evil. If you read just his post it sounds almost reasonable. Until you realize I didn't say anything approaching what he says I said; in fact I said pretty much just the opposite. Then ask yourself why he so obviously deliberately lied about what I said and you can understand why I think it's time to put an end to garbage like this.

I work hard at what I do and take pride in being part of stoxpoker, so when someone pulls crap like this I take it very, very seriously.

Re: doughnutz ?!

Tableratings underway went some kind of database "maintenance" from Feb-March and lost many hands, so it is very inaccurate now. That being said, since the beginning of April they have captured every hand I have played (i don't play that much).

One other thought. Not sure how much stox pays to make videos, but I think for someone who has as unique style such as doughnutz, it has to be -EV for him to make videos and show his opponents his hold cards and thoughts. Just a thought why being a winner for so long he is not winning now.

Here is the post in question that I made.....

I agree. It sure would suck if people didn't use your business because of an inaccurate website.

That said I'm not sure how much more damaging to his business TR could be than the things doughnutz himself has posted in this thread. He posted a graph showing that for a quarter million hands he has lost money, stated that he has not been playing well for nearly a year and conceded that maybe he does indeed suck and that only time will tell if he indeed does.

I have very little experience with poker training sites and those who use them, but I suspect that the guys who think about spending their money at them don't want to read things like the above from those who are passing themselves off as experts and charging a fee for their expert opinions.

I have been called a variety of names and I am fine with that, but you do not get to call me a liar.

Anything in the above post that is untrue I will happily and publicly retract.

In one day tableratings changed my winrate from .75 to 1bb. It did this by erasing alot of hands played. So i agree its not accurate.

mine went from 1bb to .53 to -.13 in 6 weeks and i dont think i played more than 2-3 days. i used it all the time before when a new name popped up on stars, but now i dont bother.

im tryin to convince my accountant to use tableratings as a final spreadsheet for tax purposes so I can get back all the money i just gave him.

Re: doughnutz ?!

I am a member of stox and let me say that doughnutz videos are awesome. He is one of the most entertaining players in limit holdem, and without doughnutz the site would be quite boring. he also does a good job of explaining why he is making certain plays that, in a vacuum, may appear spewy, but have meta game purposes. Anyway dougnutz, thanks for all the videos. you are awesome and I hope stox never loses you.

Re: doughnutz ?!

also, after meeting doughnutz and playing with pokerbob, i can definitely say that doughnutz is an incredibly nice guy and pbob gives off that aura of miserable live player.

also, to everyone saying that he sucks and is lucky to be up 2mm, are you indirectly questioning stox's ability to identify a good player and his ability to run a business by signing doughnutz as a pro?

In live games doughnutz, like me, gives off the aura of an arrogant online player, and not much else. Bob pretty much stays quiet, if from that you inferred a "miserable live player" then you are pretty genius. There is probably a reason bob acts like he does at the tables, hes pretty good at what he does.

Lol at you giving off the aura of arrogant online player. Old school live players might infer that, but there are alot of high stakes players that I thought could work on their table demeanor. You are not one of them. Maybe you talk to much about online poker at the table, but I am not convinced that is a b ad thing if your success is bringing new players to the game. I have never played live w Doughnutz, but he is definitely super fun to play online with just because you never know what one of his opponents is gonna say next. As I have said before no one in poker induces chat tilting like Doughnutz. I have been tempted at times.

i never said pbob isn't good. he is real good and not someone i enjoyed having at my table. but it's also easy to see that pbob gives off an annoyingly cynical vibe about a lot of things and when you add to the fact that doughnutz gets ragged on constantly it's pretty easy to see that this whole thing was blown out of proportion.

I have never played live with pokerbob that i know of. But from the way he posts in these forums i get the vibe of "misreable live player" as well. Not trying to start a war with pokerbob here just saying he does come off that way from his posts. I may be wrong he might be a very nice guy. I mean i'm a nice guy and i come off bad in my posting style.

Btw Kpr reminds me of onlines version of "miserable live player". Whenever he decides to talk online its to make an insult to someone. Idiot is his favorite word.

The other day he comes into a game i'm playing with thunderbro hu. Haven't spoke to him in months online. So he comes sit on my left. So i sit out. Now thunderbro sit out. Essentially he breaks our game. But its cool its not a hu table. So thunderbro leaves and i say jokingly to kpr i'll play you hu if you pay me 1k an hour. He say "your an idiot". I mean i was playfully making a joke and he acts like a miserable guy. And he seems to have a chip on his shoulder. He thinks he's better than the rest of us. And i'm not talking just at poker.

Anyone else get this vibe from kpr? or do i just bring out the best in him?

Doughnutz btw i have had some verbal jousts at the online table with him(but done in a playful way on both our parts). But i get the impression he is much more good natured ok guy than those other 2. Am i wrong here? Yeah maybe couold come off arrogant online player at the tables. But an ok guy who just has confidence in his abilites but a nice guy away from the table. And sometimes at the table.

Again i don't know any of them in person. Just the impressions i get from playing online and posting with them.

Anyone who knows them live care to tell me how my reads are?

p.s. i bet kpr is a nice guy to people in his inner circle(friends etc.), but doesn't know how to be nice to the general public.

Re: doughnutz ?!

Doughnutz sucks. Has his LHE ability way over rated in his head and makes some consistent flawed plays, hence, a losing player over 250k hands sample. Also dunno about 2m but that 1 mil graph he posted was mostly from 1-2 so who is to say the losing 250k hands sample isnt big enough to conclude he is a fish and a 1mil win at 1-2( i dont know how many hands that took) was a large enough sample to decide he excels this game. Btw why doesnt he play above 50 100 anymore? Perhaps, smart plyrs have caught up to his B.S at 1-2 and above? and now he doesnt feel good enough for those games? If I won a mil dollar at a certain limit purely because of abilities, I wouldnt drop down the stakes.

I totally agree with pokerbob's analysis of donutz.
